The Dons about to burst at the seams, Sean Wellman (again) perhaps? Recruiting staff? etc.

Huge chance for the MFC to pick at the carcass of the dying Bombers

its time to get ruthless and get payback for the 2000 grand final. Screw Essendon and everything they stand for

go get Wellman, and get some of their gun players

Essendon is about to implode

The AFL should have nipped all of this in the bud when West Coke fielded a side of Hulk Hogan lookalikes. But it didn't as it was more caught up in expanding the game and turned a blind eye. Hate Essendon, but I can't help thinking the AFL let all of,this spiral out of control a long time ago. I'll also add, I don't believe all this bullshite about Geelong being squeaky clean. That just mightbe sour grapes but I remember us playing them four years ago and their increase in body size defied belief.

so you see the similarities of this & the list management saga?

all the same, the players have way too much political clout in the AFL...

Dee -luded, I'm more inclined to think that the AFL is selective in the battles it chooses. There have been times, for instance, where GWS has dropped up to 8 players at a time giving them zero chance of performing (except against us). Any established club did that and it would be tanking IMO

If more than the players are suspended, wouldn't the assistants also come under scrutiny? I'd be a little worried about being employable if I was an assistant at EFC.

I think that aspect is what could make him gettable.

I'm certain RtG... & they went against us re this exact thing, but then owed us behind the scenes (IMO Pre & post Inq')...

gws i'm sure they are, but the next fortnight will be interesting to see how things are meant to be at the bottom end?

I remembered this old thread of mine. Funny some of the comments, particularly my own at the start thinking the scandal was drawing to a close in 2013.

Sooooooooo is there a reason for the bump or just a trip down memory lane?

No I asked if you were having a bad couple days? You seem to be very narky and ready to pounce like a glorified smart "aleck" as of late.

Sorry I asked "champ".

Basset in enemy territory at Port. Was a revelation at Norwood. AA alongside Goodwin. I sincerely hope they get him in to replace Simon next year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
