The Trade/Draft Rumour Mill

Christ ....we're going to need to hire a bus to pick up all the players everyone wants !!:rolleyes:

Or they can all jump on Nathan Jones' back - he's had some experience at carrying 21 blokes at a time.

We are big on and have spoken to savage according to several rumours.

Probably not the reality bus though.

it is what it is and its a rebuild of a rebuild

We are interested in Yarran.

Wouldn't mind Yarran, although he can be a bit soft. He'd be a good addition to the forward line seeing as we are screaming out for a crumbing forward.

Got a source?

We are interested in Yarran.

Is that the "royal we" or the MFC?

Yarran would be awesome but as a running back flanker.

Would be surprised if he moved to us. Always thought it was Carlton or back to WA for him.

Has fallen out with Mick.

I'm thinking Roosy can turn him around and make him the player he can be.

Better option than Heath Shaw.

Source?

Will we trade our second rounder?

So no source, just assumption?

Not at the price the Blues are thinking he is worth.

Say that again and I will campaign to have u barred from Demonland NSC!!!!!

That's stuff nightmares are made of.

If we take savage I would expect the Franklin compo and Hawks first rounder with him.

If I were you I wouldn't get my hopes up, that's ridiculous.

We'd trade a third rounder for Savage I think.

Interesting to note that in Mike Sheahan's interview on the MFC website, he mentions he thinks Nick Duigan would be perfect for MFC, playing off the HBF.

He has a direct line to Roosy, and I can't imagine Duigan has a bevy of suitors.

Watch this space.

Wouldn't mind Duigan at all, he seemed to be out of favour this season.

Someone from the Blues I'd love would be Zach Touhy. Really tough in the contests and plays really well as a rebounding defender.

worth a shot for Roos & Stone, to grind this piece of WA limestone into some sort of shape.

would be a better cultural , let alone , pricey get than Shaw also

If a post finishes with'more to come' or 'watch this space' you know it means business..

Pity we didn't trade Sylvia when we had a chance..

The reaction of hawks supporters to losing savage tells me we should go hard -The Savage Demon

Probably not the reality bus though.

I think Neeld was run over by the reality bus

Pity we didn't trade Sylvia when we had a chance..

I agree, should have struck a deal years ago.

Now I understand

What you're trying to say to me

and how we suffered for his vanity

and how tried to get him to play to ability

they would not listen

they did not know how

perhaps they'll listen now

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
