I very nearly fell into the temptation to post a nasty derogatory piece yesterday & pulled back.

Guide me, O righteous one.

I wish I was sufficiently tech savvy to post the photo I have of Col passed out at a nightclub last weekend that a mate texted to me.

I don't reckon Ross Lyon would be particularly impressed.

Haha yeah, I've got one of those of Moloney from a couple of years back.

But he's not in a nightclub, he was on a park bench after I'd gotten too tired from carrying him.

On the Scully family........I don't see why his family is getting the crap on this site.....All of our wifes/girlfriends/daughters look like Pia Miller don't they???.....He took a once in a lifetime deal that made him a very rich young man......To put crap on his family is just wrong...

On Sylvia.........What do you expect him to say....."No, I played my very best at Melbourne....I have no improvement left in me...Freo are fools for taking me".......

Good luck to both players.

Is that genuine?

I got some good snaps of Steele Sidebottom last year on Glenferrie Road in the wee hours of the morning. He was crawling along the pavement in a puddle of his own spew and Harry O was trying to get him into a taxi, good times!

I agree paying out on his family is just childish.

And further, despite the vitriol he received for leaving it appears now in hindsight that the his alleged misgivings about the culture and player development systems were spot on.

Yep, we just didn't want to admit it. He made a choice I'm sure many on Demonland would have made if they were in the same position (not being MFC supporters).

i get your point, but you are under valuing our trade work.

I understand we need to not over hype things as we have been constantly let down by our beloved club over the years, but you can still give them a lil' credit with whats happened the past couple of months.

Of course I give them some credit and am happy with what we have done. But my post was related to the one that said we have done enough lets not get too greedy,

No we haven't done enough,. We can always do more...and should

Scully lied to jimmy and to all of us, Simple really. He took the cash - great for him - but treated us like shiite in the process. As well he denigrated our culture with the "un-professional" stuff. he might think that but its poor form to publicly bag us.

Sorry....I forgot that no one lies in the AFL.......And I was mainly stating that to put crap on his family is poor and immature....

if you need it. I had a fairly nasty piece typed up about his family, ready to post yesterday, but didn't like it so listened to myself. I deleted it before posting. something I'm trying to do more often lately.

I feel better for it.

What can you do?

They are only human, not gods because they play football.

They are not infallible. They shouldn't all be pilloried in the media for it.

But that is probably in some instances partly why you get some people insisting that a certain player should be traded, or not traded for.

Anyone that thinks it doesn't adversely affect club culture or doesn't affect their ability to play, is in denial.

They may play well anyway, but they'd be better without it.

So, from reading the last couple of pages, I gather that there is NO new trade news.

Well put, although I'll never like Scully due to the way he handled the situation (although I accept it wasn't an easy situation for a young man) and I certainly never wish "luck" to any player that leaves. I don't begrudge players leaving, but I never ever wish them well.

Call it a character flaw.

that was the the biggest hit for me, he was as cheap as it can get in that.

but time has moved on, & so should we put a big page break in, & remember it on GWS matches, & remember to give him living Hell.

Call it poor guidance from his supposed role models.

They seem to have taugh him work ethic, but forgot the rest.

The Tom Scully robot seems to be a lonely boy.

I did exactly the same thing. I too feel better for deleting it.

Roos made a play for Kennedy, but this has been rejected. Roos thought that Sydney may require more salary space combined with rumoured dissatisfaction of Kennedy made the offer worth a try. No one was surprised it was rejected, it was always a long shot. If you never ask, you never know.

That's true that they are only human but with their job comes the responsibility of being a role model and a representative of their club and the AFL, as well as whatever other organisations they may be a part of or brands they may be an ambassador for.

Some act like idiots and shirk the responsibility and others don't.

OMG!!! I have been loving reading this forum about the trade rumours etc. Please oh please stop hijacking it to troll back over the Scully crap we've all written and vented a thousand times before. There's still another thread eslewhere for that. Don't ruin a great forum.

OK thats fine.

I may be self & caring. but I'm not really righteous over others. I'll try to share thoughts but try to limit my interference at a personal level to where its welcome. a control freak who only wishes to control my immediate environment, not to control others so much, as so many righteous &/or more right wing types try to.
