I do not think that this will happen...

Mike Sheahan on OTC gave his 'Dream Team' that he must have thought about all of the hour before taping and Lynch was 'List Manager.' That's where this comes from - Mike Sheahan's rear end...

Jackson has intimated that List Management should be overseen by the head of the FD.

Perhaps, but if not list manager another role for Lynch?

With a forward line of Clarke, Dawes, Hogan, Howe... its hard to imagine any coach not trying to leverage these players.

All about the midfield. Need mids as we are all aware.

I think you'll find that both those players had the utmost respect for Craig just like the rest of the players.

You're probably dead right, but that says nothing of Craig's opinion of them.

They could very well find themselves quickly back on the scrap heap.

To be honest, I think NC is a smart man, and if he is, those 2 should be there, especially Moloney.

Although I'm excited to see Paul Roos as coach, Do you think it will be unattractive footy to watch because his Defense first attitude ?

Hasn't this been gone through already somewhere in this thread? People always remember Roos approach to shutting games down, but at the same time they seem to forget that in the latter part of his tenure with the Swans, they were playing some very exciting and very open football... shutting down games does not worry me at all, because I think it simply will not happen.

Careful what we say guys & girls.

I just noticed we're on page 186..!

And if you're into cricket superstitions, the next page is going to be just as bad.

In the Twitter era its all about being first, not right.

The world moves so quickly now that no one remembers when false truths are uttered.

This is precisely the reason semi literate knobs like Jon Ralph have managed to eek out a career.

As opposed to "true truths". Sums up the less literate media pretty well.

Interesting to see how he navigates through another barrage of questions on OTC next Monday if he is going to announce on Tuesday. Worth the price of a ticket to watch that performance. It will be a classic.

Imo he will announce it before that for exactly that reason, i'm thinking friday or saturday but that's only a guess

OTC monday would be like hell if he was going to announce it the next day anyway.

universities in Melbourne have full fee paying places of you don't get the marks you need. On Roos' salary they will be easily obtainable.

He may want to study something in Perth however, they have good mining related courses over there. Between Melbourne, Monash and the other Victorian universities, most of the other general and specialist courses are covered quite well I believe.

If he wants to study via a Uni in Perth, he can do it through correspondance from his bedroom in Toorak. I'm sure he'll cope.

Will have plenty of money to pay tutors.

I hope to god that if Roos does come that he will be flexible enough to see that defence at all costs/slow, stodgy footy might not suit our blokes from moment dot. Be smart Roosy and implement your game plan progressively!

It begs the question that if he does sign and is announced before Monday evening, would he even appear on the show? Did I read somewhere that he will be on 360 on Tuesday evening? That seem logical to me that an interview on 360 on Tuesday night as opposed to his usual gig on OTC which involves interviewing others after he has signed (if that makes sense).

My tip is Roos will not appear on On The Couch next week because he will have 'other' committments.

At the risk of repeating myself so soon after typing this on the previous page, Roos final years at the Swans were NOT like that at all... they were playing exciting football.

It may even be announces as Mike saying "Paul won't be joining us tonight due to other commitments... And we all know what that means! Am I right Gerard? Am I right? I'm right."

Alastair Lynch will not be replacing anyone. The List Manager position has been a vacant job since Tim was made redundant.

Todd Viney is our General Manager of Player Development. George Stone has been a rumour to take the Player Development position, though most have linked him as a potential assistant to Roos.

Jason Taylor is the National Recruiting Manager, he is not the List Manager.

Geolf Walsh is the name circling the Football Manager position that Josh is currently doing (and has applied for)

Just though this needed clearing up.

Agree with you on that Hardtack, and a lot of that has to do with learning that getting defensive structures all over the ground are critical and that bit is non-negotiable, it's only after that is ingrained into these players that you get your flair and exciting football. However the comments about having a potent forward line does suggest we should be able to score once the ball gets into attack.

Looking at what happened on Sunday against the dogs is a classic example of what our club needs to get right. Modern day game of football sees clubs get on a roll with momentum and scoring very quickly. We played pretty well for 3 of 4 quarters on Sunday and yet we lost because we could not stop the run on in the 2nd quarter. Sydney under Roos & Freo under Lyon use the creation of stoppages to slow the game down to get it under control again. They work very hard to set the tempo of the game to suit their teams.

Even when you look at the game we won against the dogs earlier in the season.... it was very similar except we had the best of the first 3 quarters... last quarter we couldn't stop the run of goals but managed to hold on.

It's a valid point, has he got a fast, free flowing attacking gameplan? All going well we will have a number of forward options. Is he bringing a gameplan to suit.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
