I was 19 when I started posting here. I was 22 when my first was born, and her grinning baby face was my avatar for years before the forum software wiped it in an upgrade two years ago, and I haven't bothered to replace it. I turn 30 later this year. I think that about tells the story :-)

jump in the que nasher, jump in the que... your not robinson crusoe you know...

.... we have all to work to change this amateur run club of 48 Yrs. pity we didn't grab Kerry Packer to help us some time back. he would have bought the northern stand & turned it upside down.

& he would have told a few players back 8 - 10 yrs ago a few home truths.

I remember her well Nasher. Lovely!

You should put up her 8yo photo as your new avatar, as a reminder of how long it's been!

I didn't realize you wrote scripts Stuie. But I digress. I am sure PJ has/ is pushing to get Roos to the club. But eventually there is a need to move on based on strong indicators. Short of telling us to f$ck off, he doesn't appear interested at all. Hope I'm wrong but don't think I am.

I'm sure PJ can do more than one thing at once.

Would you like him to ask Roos to coach us in different dialects? What are you talking about?

I think there is more to the situation, i highly doubt PJ would bother wasting the clubs time putting Roos on the shortlist if he wasn't fairly confident he was a decent chance

Terrific if that's the case. But if its not we should move on.

It was reported last night he was on the shortlist with Eade, Williams, Ratten and Craig

I have no doubt that he's at the top of it. But that by extension doesn't mean he wants to coach us

But surely a shortlist inclusion means they still consider him a very realistic chance

your right, Roos is not interested and l think we should get Chocko. l know Roos is a very successful coach but that negative football that he gets his teams to play drives me nuts. I went to a Melbourne-Sydney game at Docklands in about 05, the final score was around 8.6 to 5.7. l swore l'd never go and see a game Sydney played again or until he was not coach anymore. It was the worst game of footbal l've ever seen.

I think he would probably develop a new game plan based around the strengths of our list.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Essendon

It’s game day and the Demons face a massive test which may determine whether they have what it takes to play finals this season. The task has been made all the more difficult without their Premiership Captain Max Gawn.

    GIANT HEADACHE by Whispering Jack

The crack in the captain’s ankle might be very small but the repercussions of the injury are enormous. The aftershock of the news that Max Gawn will sit on the sidelines for the next two or three weeks has provided Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin with a giant headache, not unlike the one he faced after the Kings Birthday when another Demon superstar Christian Petracca suffered his season-ending injury. That headache is magnified by the fact that Goodwin is facing a month of tough encounters a

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.
