Game Day Thread - Hawks v Daemons

Featured Replies

I have but one thing to say

ARGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Watching this is more painful then having a tooth Pulled with no Anesthesia

Bye ,Bye NEELDY it's either that or we basically sack the whole team!

Oops sorry we have already done that , haven't we.

The worst part is watching those Hawthorn Mongrels walking of the ground with the smug looks on their faces .

I look forward to day we as supporters can also be smug but that's a long, long way away sort of like the Never Ending Story!

Frawley is a selfish [censored]. Only cares about his own man, had a perfect view from my seat of him letting Smith run into an open goal, just so he could stop Franklin. Apparently commentators talked about it too. Good

It's called survival, it's what happens when a team has no confidence. Frawley & Garland have been holding back the tide for a few years now, people were talking of 10+ goals to Buddy today, well I don't blame him. He's had enough trying to cover for everyone else.

Watts must go.

Can kick, can mark.

Can't compete, can't win his own footy.

We cannot carry players who want to play on their own terms.

Trade for a midfielder at year end.

He has been deplorable.

Aside from one miss he has had a blinder in the first half as our only forward. I am obviously watching a different game.

I'm watching the same one you are 'Redleg', he's been good I reckon.

Yes but it's very depressing that our star recruit is so bad in kicking for goal. Tho absolutely thrashed we should be 3 goals something

The problem is the poor bastard has to nearly play in the centre to get a kick.

If Paul Roos or Bomber Thompson were coaching us today it wouldn't be any different!

The most basic stupid mistakes made by Bail,Jordie,RODAN,Joel Mac,Fitzy are because they are NOT AFL standard. Not coach related just dumb decision makers executed with sub standard SKILL.Those 5 should not be playing AFL football.

SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's exactly right. There is no quick fix. Even culling bail, rodan, Mckenzie etc still doesn't guarantee immediate improvement. Unless we replace them with pendlebury, Thomas and fyfe. If everyone could grasp that, we could all wallow in despair together.

And what the hell is watts doing?????

If we are to be competitive they can't be in the team.

Dumb post. All the commentators said was Frawley "didn't make a decision". He was left two defend two goal kickers, where was Smith's man?

Smith's man is the problem and the reason for the goal but you can't be impressed by this effort. Frawley seems to have lost his desire to do anything but defend his opponent. I don't particularly blame him but it doesn't say a lot for the culture we are trying to build.

Looking forward to punching the first work colleague who stares wrongly at me tomorrow. Defence - Melbourne supporter

Our Top Draft Picks $cully Trengove and Watts cost us a $500,000 fine.

Says it all really.

The whole building should leave tomorrow after the Board meeting.

Peter Jackson. Bring in who you need to work with.

Never complained about anything but his goal kicking.

Clark nails almost every one of his limited opportunities and I know we can't compare most players to Clark but that is his job.

He has been good at everything else today.

Just pouring my first Scotch now. Probably should have started yesterday.

Well done Dawes. He's been close to our best along with Jones today.

Anyone got anything to say bout watts coming on like he had measles and avoiding his teammates?

He went back in the rooms after speaking to Mission. I assume he went to get re-strapped or injected.

I reckon there is enough talent for us out there. They just don't have a game plan.

Mitch will make a huge difference

And Grimes and Viney.

I hate Hawthorn.

Just pouring my first Scotch now. Probably should have started yesterday.

I started last night RTG!!! U r a bit behind.

how many goals do we have to lose by to get a new coach??

What a great contributor you are... not one single positive post. Time to change your name to Glumpse.

If you reckon Dawes isn't worth it, just watch his last few minutes. Absolute hard worker of the highest order. Sure he has missed a few today, but he has set up so much and provided such a great target. The new coach can rest assured knowing Clark and Dawes will work bloody well together.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
