Offer the man a 1.5 million dollar 7 year deal.

Won't get another chance like this in a long time.

I hope that this is actually being discussed at HQ.

nah mate, got Dawes, Clark and Hogan.

We got enough. Just gotta get players who can get the ball down to them, and get the ball down to them with decent kicks.

Buddy isn't the answer to our woes, believe me.

Lance Franklin could be a Gary Ablett level midfielder if he played entire games there.

PS Stop it with the bloody gifs!

I will say that the area where we fall down hard is in our deliveries into about 60-40 metres from goal. Whether that's because of our forwards or our mids I'm not sure (largely because our real forward line has yet to play this year), but either way getting Franklin would allow us to shift our players so that either he or Clark could play the role of high half-forward who gives us that all-important kick inside 50.

I'm for it.

Nah, we would be better off spending that money on possibly 2 A grade Mids.

Yes but who are these A grade midfielders. Where are they going to come from!?

Do we wait years before the kids get there?

If anyone can give me a viable plan to 'get' these A grade midfielders I'm all ears...

Dale Thomas ( free agent ) Dion Prestia ( pre season draft ) the priority pick we are likely to get plus Jack watts would make some decent trade bait!

I can say with Absolute confidence we have a better chance of getting Thomas and prestia plus potentially two more than we have of buddy even entertaining an offer from us without AFL assistance.

That Lance Franklin would be a Gary Ablett level midfielder if he played entire games there. Point to me where I said we should get him as a midfielder. You can't, because I didn't.

If you want to know, I think we should get him for the Mitch Clark role. I would then put Clark on one wing, with Jack Watts on another. Both of them would have the job of delivering the ball inside 50 to Franklin and Dawes.

Find the place where I said "we should get Lance Franklin and play him in the midfield." Do that and I'll give you a million dollars. Point to this post as the place where I said it and you will have proved how dumb you are.

Clearly that is what you're saying. Unless by "Gary Ablett level midfielder" you mean 3rd or 4th tall option in the forward line....

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
