Sub out Strauss and put Davey in the forward pocket.

Sub out Byrnes. At least Strauss is doing ok defensively.

Can I ask to sub off anyone and make Ablett swap jumpers? My god he is a freak.

The only thing worth watching at this miserable game.

The beer's ice cold.

I've actually switched to light beers in the 2nd term - to avoid being under the table by the end of the game. In response to the game I was getting stuck into the heavies but I want to be here for the turnaround.

Campbell Brown, ladies and gentlemen. The AFL's pre-eminant hard man.

Healy said at the 5 minute mark of 1st quarter that the players are mentally beaten.

We were mentally beaten after the Port match, and it's going to be much like that all year I suspect. Fragile. We just don't have the kind of leaders and experienced players that Geelong do to pull us out of it.

To be fair to Campbell Brown, Dan Nicholson is not a footballer's jockstrap.

It's a bit hard to tell from the TV, but wasn't Jordie tagging Harbrow in the first half? If so he actually seems to be doing his job, as Harbrow picked up 32 possies last week, only 6 to half time against us.

Sylvia needs to stand up, he should be dominating a game like this, as should Frawley.

My heart goes out to all the junior supporters, poor kids.

Nice goal - finally

I'm trying to think of something to write to express my gut wrenching disappointment, however I cannot find the words....

Their top 5 most experienced players are better (overall) than our top 5.

The most experienced in order of games played

1. Sylvia / Ablett

2. Jones N / Campbell Brown

3. Byrnes / Brennan

4. Frawley / Harbrow

5. Dunn / Murphy

Our bottom 6 wouldn't get a game elsewhere either IMO (in no particular order) ......

Spencer

Strauss

Nicholson

Bail

Sellar

McKenzie

We also have 6 players (versus their 2) who have less than 10 games under their belt....

Kent

Terlich

Viney

Jones M

Gawn

Evans

And we also have ..... Neeld and his amazing line/development coaches

You might need to stop thinking and point your arse towards the keyboard....

So glad I am off to Ethiopia in 6 weeks to work for a year...can't come soon enough!

Say hi to Morton

You have got to be [censored] kidding me.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
