GAMEDAY - ROUND 2

Featured Replies

Howe just nearly took MOTY.

Jamar is a disgrace, only 3 yrs to go.

Gillies is the only tall backman left with Dunn out, and Essendon play tall. Rodan wasn't sub, he was emergency.

Spencer and Pedersen were the other subs, and hard to see what other mids could have been used for backup. We already have enough (too many?) first-gamers out there. You may not like it, or agree with it, but there's method behind the madness. In any case, even Port supporters thought Rodan made a great sub.

Confidence shot. Murdered in the clearances. But we actually look OK when we get the ball most of the time.

Sellar down back Watts up forward Gillies out of the side that's what I'd do.

Ffs..have they all forgotten how to mark a ball !! Just bullsh1t

Delist Neeld.

Sack Neeld.

400k @ 1.10 equates to a 40k profit.

Nice.

The Greek Islands will be nice.....

Would love to know what book accepted that.I have trouble getting $50 on @ 6/1.

Just lies and beat ups by bookies and media.Ask any punter if the corporates would accept that bet.......other then from a habitual loser.

We have to be the dumbest outfit going around.

I'm sorry...just too many basic errors.

I've seen a bad individual game. Heck I've played in some stinkers. I've never seen a worse game than by Jamar. He is nothing, a disgrace.

Sack Neeld.

Russian FARK! You have feet kick it.

Sorry!!!! It's not an Improvement on last week. The players have not responded, they are not working for each other.

Forget about Neeld what the hell is Neil Craig doing down there.

If round 1 & 2 are any indication of the pre season, they will win no games this year.

GOLD... comment of the year by Luke Darcy.... "This is turning into a really dissappointing performance" WTF?! What has he been watching the first half?

Luke Darcy just compared this to an intra club game.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
