GAME DAY - ROUND 1, 2013

What is Watts doing - running about without an opponent.

Viney!!

Give viney the rising star now

14 possessions to Viney....amazing how somebody whos never played AFL before is our best player so far.

Pedders!!!

I know someone who rates Pederson highly. Im hoping this is the first sign.

Its amazing were only 20pts down?

Get Blease on......!!

Our defense is terrible - Watts reactionary and wrong footed, Frawley trying but just not with it, Garland MIA, Nicholson and Gillies - worrying.

For anyone thinking about getting the afl app for watching the game, it's a piece of [censored]

5 goals conceeded from bad kicking in bad line...

Exactly. WTF is going on down there. I knew that without Rivers and with Tom Mc out of the side we might struggle but honestly this is a major step backwards this year so far. No one wants to kick out, Watts spare man crap isnt working. Why isnt Terlich in the side instead of Nicholson.

Hate to say it but Rivers would have been handy.

Pfffft. Pretty poor - basic mistakes, both decisions and skills. Port have 2 options each time. Not sure why we are sitting off them so much - baffling.

Viney is a gun - tough, smart and not giving up. Him, Howe and Clarke are propping everyone else up, honourable mentions to Rodan and the 2 Jones boys.

we should sub Blease in at half time

Or is Neeld gonna wait til we are down by 10 goals and the game is oiver?

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
