Not sure if this deserves its own thread - mods please move if needed to any number of T$ or Tippet threads

Must admit I find this highly amusing, that the bloke who orchestrated T$ to GWS is banned from the AFL for funny business regarding Tippets contract. Have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

But what it does is show some backbone from the AFL and whether this will mean anything for our investigation

the last 5 years have shown an under the surface mould in many areas of AFL, a few in player management involving underhanded stuff including the drug scandal.

also some funny business with 3rd party deals.

and rules designed, it would seem, to play funny games in the ignorance of the supporters, including list management... When these things surface & gain there own oxygen, the AFL steps in to show they're doing something???

Only 12 Months...Typical...This bloke makes Saul Goodman look like a model citzen....

What about Lynch??

He should have to reapply to get his accreditation back, it is not a right I would have thought.

Was he really Voldemort's manager too?

I cant believe the journo's dont join the dots and note that this is the same scumb bag who managed Scully's deal to GWS.

They draw the longest of bows when 'reporting' (speculating) about the tanking saga, but somehow they dont feel obliged to muck rake in this scenario?

Was he really Voldemort's manager too?

Yes, but took over for Mark Kleiman when he left the business to work for 3AW.

I see your point; but I think the fact the no player will want to go near him in the future is the real punishment.

The fact that the T$ deal was never looked at even though all parties have said it happened outside the allowable window is simply a disgrace.

Blucher is parasite of the highest order.

oh yes. His career is tainted but it was a soft punch from HQ.

Which is typical of the current regime

At this rate, the AFL should give us $5 mill at months end as thanks for being model citizens.

what partners with filthy?

I guess they'll be making phil an honorary member of the selection panel, & gofor Pie man.

Voldemort Pies,,, now theres something for him, to keep him busy.

HAHA!

What about Sleepy?

Should have been rubbed out for three (years).

This man has made a living out of lying and coaching young men to lie and should've been made an example of.

Blucher was banned by the Players Association; they have control over the agents.

This whole thing stinks. Blucher got off lightly yes, but what about Adelaide??

I bet my left ball their directive to Blucher was "You sort it out..just get the deal done at whatever cost"

The Crows & Tippett must be laughing their collective heads off at their own light punishments!!

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
