If Jordie is to stay in the best 22, He needs to increase his output, offensively and with his skills. Modern day taggers offer an offensive element to their game these days just like Cam Ling. Jordie may not be as good as Lingy, but he needs another few strings to his bow to be worthy of a possible premiership player.

At this stage ( like most of our list) he is not a player worthy of elite performance. He is still young enough to improve dramatically though.

Don't forget he's had some major injuries.

I believe he'll get better with the new regime where there's actually some coaching going on and he'll be a terrific stopper or HFF

Hope you are right JR I just don't see that much potential

Sorry.. if we are still playing Jordie in 2014 we will be still outside the 8 and Neelds plan will be stalling.

Apart from his lack of skill he still committs the cardinal footballers sin. Constantly falls to his knees. He's got an awful lot of improvement to make.

What disturbs me is that the coaching panel put him in the top five last year. That points to further questions about Neelds ability to coach. Good administrator but the coaching question remains.

I hope so too, OD.

2013 will see the acid test put to so many of our players, not just Bail and Jordie.

Yes there will be another 5 - 6 replaced this time next year

It's hard to stay upright when you're at the bottom of a pack with four blokes on top of you, or when hanging on to the ball carrier for dear life as Jordie does.

Like the passenger said(pg2), if you try your heart out things will begin to go your way, just like they have done for Jones now. McKenzie should be no different. While he does not have a very reliable kick, with his work ethic i'd say that will soon be gone.

And anyway, players like McKenzie are worth their weight in gold due to how hard they push themselves, they set a good example for others. They may not be the most skilled but they will themselves to improve

This thread needs to be book marked

Jodie is a solid afl c grade footballer. He would easily get a game in most/ all teams and he is improving

He will be better this year than last and will keep getting better

B grade this year to be considered A grade by 2015

Bad kick/ val player. Blah. Listen to yourselves. He adds a lot to our team

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
