I as a Demonland poster will......

try not to mention any of the following in my posts because they will have no relevance whatsoever in 2013

Cale Morton

Lucas Cook

Jordan Gysberts

Swans Culture

186

Barry Prendergast

Craig Cameron

Junction Oval

Please feel free to add

To move on from the hate we have for other Demons developed over the last two decades; from Ridley to Gutnick to Mann to Schwab to Szondy to Gardner to The Next Scapegoat ©.

People to stop bit$hing about other peoples opinions on DL

To forget that Dawes previously played for Collingwood and to only see him as a demon.

Bananas! :o

You can rest assured that almost every suggestion mentioned in this thread WILL be mentioned at some time during 2013.

Hey, c'mon. Be reasonable. What if there is another GBC?

Just being cheeky! The 'No BS No TS' thread just wouldn't be the same without bananas!

Telling people who don't agree with our opinions that we 'need to support another club.'

Picking up small mistakes in grammar, spelling, capitalization etc. whilst ignoring the bulk of what the post is saying.

Immediately dismissing a post as 'a waste of time' (though some posts are a waste of time)

F***ing Moneyball references.

History

yes, as is everything to do with the club since 1858.

All history & all relevent.

History

Those who ignore their history will be consigned to repeat it.

Cook, Prendergast, 186, Morton et al should be brought up whenever posters feel the need.

Lest. We. Forget.

Does that mean we have 46 days of still calling you a gumby ?

I resolve to ensure that the first song that my newborn son (after 4 daughters) will hear will be the Melbourne Club song and that I will make it mandatory that he watches every game with me in the new season.

that is acceptable brainwashing.

My young bloke has just turned 3 years old. While he can't sing the club song yet, when I do ask him which footy team he barracks for he'll scream "Demons!"

And that's a pass in my book.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
