US college basketball rookies

It's all about kicking, there's too much [censored] kicking in the AFL these days- kicking a footy properly is something you learn growing up with the game, I have and I can kick a footy quite well. Pyke is a great competitor, ruckman, mark, but can't kick. Having a 200cm foreign ex-basketball is beneficial if you want someone who will run all day, take an exciting mark, leap beyond belief, miss tackles, average 5 handballs a game and maybe a lucky grubber goal from the square. Irishmen are better because they have that natural run and kick in their game (but of course don't tackle)

Paul Roos reckons that basketballers have the most skills relevant to Australian Rules than any other sport. Kicking excepted.

Paul Roos had some late success in his career after years of overseeing dismal failure.

He does not possess the intellectual fitness to hand wash my leggings after a humid day.

The Sydney "culture " theme is a croc.

Bootlicking ,footy fashionistas will say he has "smarts" or some such .

He has a work ethic-or had it .

The trick about success is that ALL OF IT COMES FROM WORKING .

People can only give it for a certain period .

His is over.

He is just a dumbo who fluked a flag .

History is filled with them .

Dont glorify it .

He can bite me until he retracts his assertions .

I heard on sen a few days ago, Finey accredit Roos as being the creator of the bloods culture? What the....... Im pretty sure the bloods culture has been at the swans since they where south Melbourne?...... Roos merely tapped into it..... Which gave him a little success...... If he was at north, they'd be claiming he created the shinbone sprite....

If Roos was as great as the media make out, than Fitzroy would have won some premierships and still be playing in the AFL..... Roos can sit on a fat one!!

I thought Sean Wight was from Scotland.

He may have been born in Scotland but he was playing for Kerry when we recruited him as the first player in 'the Irish experiment'!

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?
