Pathetic Journalism

Tim Rogers, Paul Kelly and Temper Trap owned the stage for AFL Grand Final entertainment

Entertainment article about the half time show at GF ... and they include a tweet from Dennis Cometti ... too bad it's the fake Dennis Cometti ...

Idiots

Oh wow that's amazing. As a journalist, i'd never quote someone's twitter account unless it was A) verified, or 2) I knew for an absolute fact it was their twitter account. What poor journalism.

Not to mention the fact that just like (shock horror) Mark Robinson's article, it's terribly poorly written.

Was there a half time show? I was to busy kicking the footy at half time. Lol

This year has seen footy journalism drop to new lows. Consistently left scratching my head at some of the drivel they are coming up with. Can get more reasoned and informed views from regular Joe Blows on forums and blogs than these idiots who get paid to do it.

I'm shocked. [censored] poor journalistic standards from the Hun. Whats the world coming to? Next you'll be trying to tell me that Mark Robinson makes up half his stories.

The half he doesn't make up come from trawling club forums and then putting a 'gold pass' lock on them! Truly poor form!

HUN journos couldn't write a feature piece or do research if their lives depended on it.

Nothing will ever beat Fox Sports getting rolled by the Carowhine Wilson account.

On a semi-related note, Some Iranian newspaper picked up a story from a satirical news website in the US, saying that Ahmadinejad is more popular than Obama in the American South.

Some work experience kid given a fluff piece about the grand final entertainment?

I don't read the Hun but I don't recognise the author.

Hahah.

"The Trap." Ha, ha. Giving them a nickname will not legitimise what was just another 80s revivalist slop fest.

Nui te Koha is a music industry shill. He has never seen an act he didn't like. Can't jeopardise the free tickets by bagging a show. Reminds me of half the footy journos.

such is life

Didn't this fella kick the first and last goals of the GF?

Its going to get worse for at least one night.

Tomorrow, on 360 ,Robbo will lower his gaze and his voice slightly, pretend to be modest and intone either that he wrote a piece in Sudays Hun about "the lap of the gods"(according to him the name of grand final day) or or that he has a piece appearing 'tomorrow" about something.

And no one will care.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
