You guys are totally missing my point... I'm wrapped with the players we've picked up so far and think their particular experience will be really valuable to us, but with what we've lost and gained I think the term "influx" is a bit ridiculous.

But you're missing our point - what is the value in 'experience' if that 'experience' is just of being around during lots of losses and not doing sh*t about it?

Whilst on a numbers game we've lost more games played than we've brought in, does that really matter? Not really.

You were talking about comparing games out v games in. I (and others) said that matching the number of games up isn't really meaningful when most of the games which are going out were games of senior players who offered no leadership. The point being that even though we're bringing in players who have played fewer games, those games were at successful clubs and involved premierships and proper leadership. So it doesn't matter too much that we're losing more games.

There are a lot of Dunn haters, but he was probably in our top 5 players in the second half of the season, and was our second best disposer of the pill by foot coming out of our back line(to Strauss who played sub) in the second half of the season, warrants a new contract and I am not upset with that. He is a hard trainer and is competitive even if he is a bit stupid about how he goes about it.

Saw him shut down Deledio AND kick 5 goals himself against Richmond a couple of years back. I know its sounds a bit like Cale beating Goodes in one game but he is a keeper for mine. Will never be the best player but could/should be a valuable member of the team. Virtually same size as Pederson........

1) You once saw him play well? Well I once saw Brad Miller beat Barry Hall.

2) 'Could' be a valuable member? Wow. So could every single player on our list.

3) 'Should'? Indeed. He should be. He's had 8 years to be. He still isn't.

4) Same size as Pederson? Maybe. Even if so, he lacks what Pederson has: guts and talent. And he's had 8 years.

If he wasn't in the top 5 players he would have been top 10 and definitely most improved. But I agree not much shown before that, but I have seen enough to be keen for us to get him on another 1-2 year deal, even if it's just like a Matthew Bate contract in which Neeld knows he has to delist a certain number of people and Dunn is one of them.

Just seeing him out of the back 50 I think he used the ball well and played that role grimes was butchering a year ago, almost that quarterback, if he does do anything it is his ability to torp it well from kick outs which usually goes right over the opposition set ups!
