Wallace, but what about a smokie? Is Rendell worth 2 Yrs as they repopulate that list?

As reported in the HUN seems he is heading to the Gold Coast, hope our boys have a chat with him about the midfield position.

Probably rather be involved in a team heading towards finals rather than a team that will battle for the next 5 years (you decide whether I'm referring to Port or us).

not great news for the power, obviously and also reports coming out that Burns and Cameron are pulling their names out of contention

Eade has already pulled out.

Neil Craig anyone???

Bails?

While I think Port would be better served interviewing the silver-haired old chook in the crowd who gets shown on camera at every Port home game, I'm pretty sure I read Bailey wasn't interested.

Either someone has already got the job and everyone is saving face, or the place is a disaster and they are all running away.

Good lord, if Sheeds can get another gig, then ND certainly can at half the age.

Rumor going around Neal Daniher is a chance...

I'd be really happy for Neale if he got the job, he did a good job for us while he was here.

Wow. Would have thought Burns would jump at any chance to coach at the top level.

i would love to see him come to the club! he was a good coach at carlton and i feel he was very unlucky to be sacked as carlton were dominating early in the year before injuries hit them. he would be a great addition to our new coaching team :)

Hypothetically speaking - Lets hope this mess continues into trade month.

I think good assistants who see themselves as 'career' coaches are far more discerning nowadays. They know that no matter how good they think they are, that an awful 2-3 years at a struggling, poor club can effectively kill your career.

No wonder after the way Neeld was treated in the media this year.

I doubt its worth it.

He has a avoided the senior job with one basket case. Why would he take a lesser role at another basket case?

Thats a very sage thought. I think that would apply to how attractive MFC is to potential midfield coaches. Given the crud cattle we have why would anyone willingly take on a death sentence?

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
