He had a triple hit in one year which would be hard for anyone to deal with .

Jeez it's really sad to here that he's had such a tough time since the bombings, I loved watching him play as a kid and always seemed to have a certain indestructible look about him. I must admit I had completely forgotten that he and Steve Armstrong went through that terrible tragedy, and the thought he had killed his mates by suggesting they go to Bali.

All the best to him as he picks up his life.

I hope he does get back on track. Loved watching Febs as a kid. But he has a long way to go, he was partying with mates my age 15 to 20 younger and loved to get on it. But was always a friendly bloke and can see how friends took advantage of this!

It is great that he now recognises that he has a huge problem, and great that he is now going to do something about it himself. I hope that the club will offer him all the support in every way it can. Sounds as if it could at very least offer him a focus and a "home".

Its not only financial things that matter. A feeling of self worth is often not a financial matter at all. Looking for answers is often best achieved through numbers and fellowship.

Febes could well be welcomed to Dland. As recognition that the contribution he gave is still appreciated and we could also value his insights into football. This may well be a distraction for him which could be valuable.

It is a very deep issue and one which I can only wish him all the best in handling.

He is always welcome in Beechworth where we have a diversity of pursuits and a relaxed atmosphere to undertake them.

i thought it was about Matthew, that I'd heard was struggling, & i thought was in tassie.

Only just now did Steves name register, I realised I was thinking of the other twin.

Get well Steve, I know it's a hard road, but your worth it.

That year was a sad time for all of us, & even more tortuous for those who were closest to the tragedies.

all Australia & the World, lost part of itself thru those times.

Seems to be a time for people to choose sides, the Good creative teams, or the destructive X-ploitative teams.

Ironically the toughest strong willed are IMO often the ones hardest hit by the Black Dog. the softer, more able to cry,,, & laugh, are better off releasing they're tortures.

Farmers/Soldiers/Athletes/hardened competitors all.
