Bartel with reasonable pace would be a better comparison.

High half forward with a roving commmission (i.e. read the game and do whatever you reckon matey).

Howie will be a star. Kids will want to wear his number.

His number 1 attribute is marking, surely we want to max out on that quality instead of whatever else he does. High half forward for mine, who has the scope to come up the ground and be used as a target out of defence, who can be a target through half forward and who can also play like a midfield.

Neeld has mentioned he sees a Dale Thomas type in Howe. Needs some polish in Howe but i can see that.

Would be good to see but I want to see him rotating deep forward, to utilize his marking. I think he has the ability to kick goals every week if he was given the chance playing at FF.

Wish Neeld would start using non-Collingwood similes myself.

But at least this one is understandable.

LeCras is 183cm tall. Howe is 191 (listed as 190). That's a fair difference. LeCras is an elite kick. Howe is not.

couldn't be bothered to comment! Howe is How good anyone could be. Ultimately a key Forward would be ideal. In the Robertson mould but a little better.. Who was it that said Footy's played between the ears..Once Howe gets this right it's all the way with J Howe

His set shot kicking for goal seems to say he's not the greatest forward, but at the moment I think he's still better suited to a HFF than a wing. If he can develop his stamina/motor then maybe the midfield will be his home. Still feel he's a forward at heart though.

In an interview earlier this year he said his preference is wing.
