Sam Stynes

She is one hell of a woman. Jimmy met his match when he married her. Just saw her on A Current Affair. She is intelligent, articulate, self effacing, brutally honest and attractive to boot. She is naturally doing it tough as are the children and I personally wish them all the best from all of us. She shared her husband's last months with the MFC and deserves our thanks for that.

Well said Redleg!

Totally agree- not many around like Sam Stynes.

It's an empty feeling losing someone that you love whole heartedly.

You don't get over it, you just get more used to it.

We love you Sam, and all the positive energy we can muster is heading your way.

Absolutely.

Love to all the Stynes clan.

What a wonderful family and lady.

So hard for her and the kids right now. But they would be so proud of such a wonderful husband and father.

well said lads. sam stynes is our hero and god i miss jimmy :(

Yes Sam Stynes is a very "SPECIAL" lady for a Melbournefc great and a man of character and community strength.

But Sam do not mention the book on Demonland as they do not want it promoted on here. As Garry Lyon said at the book launch every Melbourne person should have a copy.

So Sam do not mention the book even though you probably helped produce it and went through hell reliving the memories.

What are you on about...really??

What are you on about...really??

Did you mean "What are you on ...really??

I actually bought the book today. Its interesting and not much has been left out. It all honest and its a shame it took Jim to get cancer to reliase just how important here relationship really was.

On a side not I just read abit of the book and mentions when Jim talks about Dean and even though he got on great with the players Jim felt he would let them walk over him. The players cancelled there time trial. Can you imagine the playing group doing that to Mark Neeld. Saying we are cancelling it. I dont think so and you wouldnt even be game to do it.

Thats a massive admission. I havent bought the book yet but what was the reason they did that? Not that it matters so much I guess.

Either or...it was a very odd and almost disrespective post.

I can't imagine Pendlebury and his chums on the other side of the Paddock pulling a stunt like that.

I will be buying this book, no question about it.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
