Get Primus?

Featured Replies

I'd rather we actually focussed on getting the midfield. I am not sure the issue is the midfield coach.

Bit early?

Primus won't be going anywhere else this season.

I'd guess he'll end up at Geelong.

But while he is somewhat impressive, shouldn't we be looking for successful coaches?

ruck coach at best. you gotta feel for primus though did his best for the club yet when you got hack player that dont put in 100% coach gets all the heat yet the player get let off easy.

ah yes.... The old Horse before the Cart trick !!!!!

The probability that someone will be subject to a "let's get ..." statement can be explained by the following formula:

P = (X/16 * D)/T

where:

P is the probability in per cent

X is your club's position on the ladder

D is a factor of 100 if the poster is on Demonland

T is the time elapsed in days since the person was sacked

Still need the cart though.

We can get both at the same time. Our development has been shizen. Lets further improve our coaching pannel as well as midfield with drafting and development.

It's not like we can only focus on one.

when i saw the title of this thread i thought you have got to be joking because i was thinking he was being suggested as head coach!!!

no idea what he would be like as a ruck or mid coach but i'd say stay away from him as we brought in a number of new coaches this year and need to see how they go about things in the long run.

My guess is that Craig will join Leon Cameron at port, and Malthouse will take Craig's spot at Melbourne.

Ah! Maths - the one true faith.

Footy and mathematics together at last, as it should be.

Big call.

Please one X Port never been is enough for the MFC in our lifetimes.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
