And don't we just love it Jackie? half whip it for those of charmed existence but for scapegoats it's something else...

Surreal in fact!

Cheers

"Fence"

Is Dr Who the son of picket fence? Did BP draft Juice? Another BP success story? Perhaps he can have another go, even though his role is as an opposition analyst, surely that extends to watching Norwood as we know with his skills his role in the new trading landscape will be absolutely crucial to future Carlton success. With Waite down Juice would be ideal for the moody blues and he could join his old mate Brock.

Speaking of whom it is somewhat ironic (at least more so than that Alanis Morrisette song, where the example was in no way ironic) that him and BP have come together again. Unless he didn't draft him and it was Cameron, in which case it wouldn't be ironic - unless you are Alanis Morrisette

The following report is cut-&-paste from a media release from NFC circulated to members today. We can all joke about Juice but a knee injury is no laughing matter. As an MFC, NFC & general football follower, I wish him a full recovery.

The Norwood Football Club is extremely disappointing to have to deliver the news that scans this morning have found that Norwood Recruit Michael Newton has ruptured his ACL in Sunday’s game versus Sturt.

Michael will see a specialist later this week to assess his options for a reconstruction.

Forget Juice (wishing him all the best in his recovery)... BRING BACK THE FEV!

Plonk him at FF, pay him $40,000 a year plus $1000 per goal, with $10,000 deduction per [censored]- related incident, and we're in business.

$1000 a goal eh ? What chance Jack Viney in the goal square in 2013 receiving from Fev an over-the-top handpass gimme !

Clearly, you have won all arguments with the oft repeated single stat of 35 goals in 25 games (over 18 years...)

Fact: he was given a lot of chances and was on our list for many years.

Fact: if he's so good, why wasn't he picked up by another club, partic the new franchises which are crying out for experience?

Fact: 35 goals in 25 games is not as good a return % as Clark, Jurrah, Howe. And they've been around the club for less than 7 yrs.

Fact: Juice was not the quickest or smartest of players and the game is not getting any slower.

But I guess that any form of reason wouldn't convince you...

who is JUICE by the way?

Must admit I thought the same. Problem is Fev's head is way too big. Blues finally had a gut full. David MacKay used to bag out on him each week. Still???? What's to lose?

He had a lot of bad luck, when nita went down he was ear marked to have a run at ff, but he also missed the next six weeks, and then he was forget, he needs to have a few really big seasons, kick 100+ in a season and then maybe a club might give him a go again

Obviously you say it in jest, but I think worse decisions could be made than having jnr running around showing gysberts morton and blease what it means to be a real midfielder...dumping him was one of the worst decisions the club has made in a period of many poor choices

Hindsight.

What's done is done.

Let's move on, hey.

Buck stops with the Coach 'rolly' . Dean closed the careers of many , including Junior . And he left us way short at the 'Experienced' end with his obsession with youth . And now we know that the list wasn't even being trained up to decent AFL fitness levels .

What a waste of 4 years .

Fair points but I think the dees need to retain some of our old masters rather than just a hand shake, gold watch and shown the door.

Saw woewoedin in the coaches box for brissy, why not get our last brownlow winner talking shop with our young boys.

Why not have rob grinter wandering around at training giving watts and Morton a rev up about effort

Rob flower still loves the club, but does he have any tangible affiliation beyond acknowledgment and accolades?

Culture gets talked about a lot nowadays and unfortunately from right back to the norm smith days it seems that the mfc doesn't realize that a footy club is more than just a sum of its parts

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
