love the 'lets giv em more time' attitude that 90% of posters have here.

no wonder we are looking at 0-11

perfect attitude to get u no where

My thoughts exactly.

Moloney employs the manager, not the other way 'round. Get real.

So the manager is doing his job....Is he not???.....The same as all managers of FA players......Is not Cloke's manager doing the same thing (even though it's his Dad)......It would be incomptent if all managers were not doing the best deal for their clients who have the chance to avail themselves of FA........This is the future.....Get used to it...

These same people are in for a major shock during the Trade Weeks. As Gough Whitlam said way back in '72. "It's Time"

No not change for change sake. We need better than that. I am sure the work has already begun. Neeld has 3 years. The 1st. is already cooked so this draft period coming could make or break him.

Be bold Boss, we have watched in the shadows too long.

I grew up fearing Demons. The stuff of nightmares. Let's see some of that on the MCG.

How about we start at the SCG....

I don't think it will happen. I think the approach now is to keep players under the gaze and control of conditioning staff. All things have their use-by date.

as do players !!

Did anyone read the Melbourne Board on Big Footy? There was an allegation on the "changes for next week" thread that there was a Melbourne player who had to be helped out of Crown and bundled in to a cab on Saturday night..

Relevant to this thread.

Is that the bit about Neeld supposed phoning a particular player with a "please explain" ?

Didn't read that just the allegation that the Melbourne player was s/faced and needed assistance to get out of Crown and in to a cab.

Forget the manager. Brent calls the shots.

And yes, he can do what he likes. No problem. But as a supporter of the MFC, I can also do what I like. And in this instance I'm calling Mr "we won't deviate from the straight line" out for acting like a rat scampering from the sinking ship when the more noble action would be to put your head down, bum up and work your tail off for the club in its hour of need.

That's the way to earn respect, not only from within your own club but from the outside football world as well.

Yeah the boys were out on the town celebrating another loss this weekend. I thought players generally don't get wasted during the season. Or is that just all there other clubs. Sigh.

Great.

Is that player still in the selected side?

Posted

Yep he is. This is the reason why the club had to make a 19 year old captain. These "senior" boys dont care anymore.

It doesn't sound like 'elite compliance' - the player shouldn't be playing this weekend.

Where is the evidence.....You can't hang someone on rumour....

Maybe that player still being in the team is evidence of it not happening?

But if it is true - we have more evidence that we have an issue with our senior players.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
