I too have been a supporter since I was 6 years old, that is now 50 years behind me ,

I have had many ups and downs with the Melbourne Football club , I have seen some great players play for our club and I have seen some bad ones

Currently I dont know wether to laugh or cry , we have coped BS from the AFL and the Media we have had to dump a coach that was a waste of space , and then take a coach who's ability at AFL level is still at best unkown , (though I am still willing to give Neeld the benefit of the doubt for now) , to top all that off we loose a man of such statureas Jimmy that we could ill afford to loose, Im sure Jimmy would be less then happy if he was still with us especially with what has taken place over the last few weeks

If we put in two more performences like yesterday any faith I have in the MFC will go out the back door

I remember many on here saying look at the picks we got by tanking look what it will mean to the club in the fututre, Scully Trengrove Watts Grimes the future of the club , at the moment though any future that we may have been kidding ourselves about is going out the door as we speak . The AFL lets GWS poach Scully and Scully shows himself that loyalty to a club is far outweighed by money .Do the players have a performence clause in their contracts , if not maybe they should . It seems in AFL today only money talks .In that respect we are certainly at the bottom of the pecking order . Already some have suggested we should tank again, even if in jest I find that offensive.

The MFC of today seems to have developed a culture of Loosing and accepting those losses as normal .

This is more about the Culture of the Club its failure at many levels to take the next step to turn our club into a force to be reckoned with .

Other clubs have done this yet we seem incabable of doing so . Why ? What is the answer ??

Personally I have no Bloody Idea, as I am not privy to the decisions of the Board or the Coach nor the Players , however what I am able to do is decide wether to continue my support for for the MFC come next year .

The MFC clearly needs to consider really, really hard where they go from here, because I think that many are feeling the same way and will consider using their wallet to do the talking for them once the next memberships are due, just simply by not opening them.

The Melbourne Football Club Official, Coaches and Players need to think on this extremely hard and stop worrying about themselves and consider us and what insepid performences like that shown yesterday mean to us as supporters !!!.

Because with out supporters you have no club and truly who could blame any supporter right now for saying enough is enough after the years we have been through since Northeys departure! I know I certainly couldnt .

But though I may feel that way my Loyalty is still with the MFC for now and we can only hope that as far as games are concerned from here on in , we will see the heart the pride and endeavour that players need to show when they go into each game to represent the MFC , because for now we seem to have had ours ripped out of us, I hope Neeld can turn it around, for everyones sake and the sake of the MFC !

I was confident we would beat Brisbane last week and when I looked at the next two games against West Coast and Richmond I thought we could 2 wins and 1 loss after round 3.

Obviously I got way ahead of myself but I don't even think we will beat Richmond next week.

'don't even think we will beat Richmond' !!!! There's no 'don't even' about it, we will not get within 8 goals of Richmond. As ordinary as they are, they are a level above us, or we are a level below them, or whatever.

When are Schwab and Connolly going to to get the sack? I am starting to believe these guys are responsible for the ongoing mutiny at the club?

My insiders tell me you 'May' be onto something, jobs for the boys thing.

If anything it is the contents of [censored] threads such as this that make you want to give up, not the MFC or its players.....

Our supporters are so weak

Such cruel fate to be born a Demon supporter. Why have the gods cast us aside and cursed us so. Why have we been dealt such a wretched life. Just think of those lucky buggers living in the slums of India or the Philippines have never had to endure the agony of following the Melbourne Football Club. I Know it hurts but a little perspective is needed. To quote Redleg "It will change and I will be there when it does. My only alternative is to give up footy and I won't. To those who want to quit, grow some balls. Go Dees."

To the board of the MFC we as the members need to sit down and here what your plans are for this club before you sink our club. We are the MFC as the members and you and our players show nothing but crap to us and then ask for more money. Its time for a change in this club again as you have failed your members once again. We want to know why we have the worst kids after having the best picks? We want to know why we have no sponsers? We want to know why you but blind faith in a coach who has never coached when you said you would bring in the best? We want to know why our players have no heart and love for the jumper we love? We want to know why our culture is so bad ?We want to know how a VFL player is our best player? We want to know why you have failed us as the members again? You as the board need to talk to your members and if you dont you will be gone because im not letting you guys hide from this crap we WANT to be heard AND NOW. All memebers of this club should be heard lets get this going so we here this boards plans.

It's called an AGM you muppet.

Ps, you know that the board has changed since '08, you can simply email, letter or call the MFC and you'll be put through to someone who can answer those questions in detail, and finanally you know your not fooling anyone by liking your own comments...

What a pathetic thread, yes lets all give up. Lets expect the club and players to rally but we all just give up. Yes it is bad now but I am not throwing away about 55 years of fanatical devotion to just give up. It will turn around and I will be there when it does. There is lots to fix but it will be fixed. One good draft, picking well, can give us a new midfield. That is our main problem on the field. Our list will be turned around quickly. It will change and I will be there when it does. My only alternative is to give up footy and I won't. To those who want to quit, grow some balls. Go Dees.

Why do you italicize your posts? It's weird.

Well said Brother. I am just angry today. I will not walk away. I demand that this club improves. It's too easy to fail and give up.

Hello you silly muppet the AGM is a joke like our club you cant ask the hard questions and as for calling the club what a joke. Might go something like this hello BIG JIM we will put you on to cameron swabb now please hold. What a joke im sure that will happen i have given this club alot of money $2,300 this year and the club has given me nothing but crap. The club will keep being seen as weak as water as long as there is fans like you champ. I want to know why we keep stuffing everything up like i said in my post and yes i do like my post you muppet. I think any club with no sponsers in the AFL says it all. The biggest sport in australia and no one wants to be part of the melbourne football club that is a big fail for cameron swabb and the board and dont get me going about our draft picks. As it stands we are no better off then when we started the rebuild maybe worse. Then you will say we have no debt but guess what we will have soon if we members dont stand up again. If you think we should just shutup and let this keep happing over and over again you wrong because i pay my right to demand this club deelivers you muppet. I love this club more then you might no and i for one will not let this keep going on and im sure lots of melbourne members feel the same. MUPPET

With all the references here to Muppets, here are a few possible "ins" for next week:-

Kermit- slippery little fella..might just be that small goal sneak forward we need.

Miss Piggy..put her in the middle..wouldn't take nonsense from anyone

Cookie Monster--down back..sure to crunch someone.

Oscar the Grouch..we need someone mean and nasty..would have been handy when Grimes got hit.

Big Bird..a handy tall

Bert and Ernie..seem to make a good pair..could be another Jamar/Moloney style combo.

I was thinking of a few Star Wars characters could be handy as well.

Darth Vader, - one out in the goal square.

Chewbacca - in the ruck,

Yoda - small quick inside mid.

Off the half back flank. Han Solo. Solid run with plenty grunt.

Luke Skywalker on the wing. Skilful and polished but lacking agression. Very persuasive around the club so tends to always get a game.

Coach - Obi wan Kenobi. Very motivational type of guy and has the 'buy in' from all the players.

Im a 30 year consecutive member, and for the first time i have lost the urge to go to the football.

I have no interest in going next week for fear of being completely depressed again

Swedish Chef - Good at the 1 percenters. Ability to create something out of nothing.

Animal - A bit of grunt up forward. Can really crash the packs.

Statler and Waldorf - Will fill the senior leadership void.

Rizzo the Rat - The MFC's answer to Stephen Milne.

Good to see all the frustrations & anger of all who follow the Dees!

At the end of the day I will live in hope that the current coaching group will turn the list around and make changes to the list to turn it into a premiership team

Lets not forget it took Geelong & Collingwood almost 10 yrs to achieve premiership success and thats after they got the off field issues right. Both Collingwood & Geelong were in huge debts in the late 90s!.

I guess now I will buy my 15th membership!

Have you put your name up for a board spot? Or are you just comfortable sitting at your desk banging every person at the club who is working hard. If you don't like it, chalenge and put yourself up.

And please use paras as it hurts my eyes reading your long drawn out crap.

To be honest I CBF getting involved with you. You asked some questions, I answered some.

I never said your wrong, questioned your loyalty or that you should be quiet.

Similar to that I'm not going to raise elements of your arguement such as your hypothetical scenario as a rebuttle to a logical solution, your view that AGMs are a joke - worrying that just attending (which I assume you haven't, similar to you not even calling the club) would have answered most of your questions and saved face from trolling on threads but almost not as worrying as your grammatical errors... Or that you just successfully buzz killed the muppets

Again I'm not going to say anything - keep trolling on!

Can we members continue to watch this garbage?

No we can't and nor should we - 10 games in - Neeld will show he has the goods or Schwab and he should go!
