Moloney is a long time professional footballer, whatever you personally think of his intelligence (which is really not a relevant thing to discuss) he's been around footy a long time and would have no problems understanding coaching instructions. Maybe you should be asking different questions? Maybe Neeld isn't a good teacher or communicator with the players? After all, didn't the WHOLE TEAM look a rabble on Saturday.

Or maybe you should just give last years B & F the benefit of the doubt seeing it's just been 1 game... Sure he might get dropped (along with many others) this week, but to start making claims his career is over just labels you a "shock jock poster" in my books and makes me more aware who to ignore here.

I'm starting to really think the media saturation of AFL is slowly turning me off the game.

There's simply too many journos all trying to outdo each other with any tiny piece of irrelevant c rap they can lay their hands on. So Beamer said "the coach" BIG #$^$#ing DEAL! Neeld said "i" instead of "we" - are you serious??

It's partly my fault for watching 360, Footy Classified, twitter, forums like this etc so I guess I only have myself to blame but honestly, some of the absolute c rap that passes as a story these days in quite staggering.

There was some TV show in the Jurassic era with a guy in it whose surname was Milquetoast. He was weak and ineffectual, so the word has been picked up and is now used to refer to anyone with the same qualities.

Yes i know he loves the club, but right now he is in a position where he can actually make a difference to the club...

and he continues to not perform.

And how often does Beamer turn it around if he is beaten early?

It really isn't worth seeing or thinking about dee-luded. Completely beat-up load of rubbish.

I hope Beamer applies himself & gets his head down for club again, as I like the Beamer hard style.

I don't want to see him throw it all away, just when we have someone onboard who'll do "Whatever it Takes", to clean up this clubs closets...

Against the Swans...Against the Crows and Against the Bombers....all at the MCG.

He had more than half a dozen really good games.

The problem is, and this might be a familar theme - the difference between his best and his worst is massive.

If you average 10 touches less in losses than to wins - you are not a leader.

You are inconsistent, you don't work hard enough when things aren't going well, and if you haven't told yourself this or agreed when someone brought this up - you are delusional.

I was reasonably satisfied with his 2011. And he played more than 3 good games.

I don't recall seeing anything as poor as his performance on Saturday.

You said earlier that he overrates himself, but I think maybe you are overrating him.

I don't expect him to consistently turn games like a Judd but I still believe he is important to our group - at least for this season.

His best isn't brilliant but it's solid and we need it.

How could a player (not in the leadership group) carry a groin into round freakin' ONE!? Is there a chance he was dropped from the leadership group because he isn't honest about his physical fitness? I seem to recall him hardly getting a touch against Geelong because of a cold he had (which no-one but he knew about).

Day 186 against Geelong; Moloney had no touches til half-time and got subbed. Apparently went into the game with a cold/flu. Don't know if club knew about it, but I presumed they did; maybe wrong.

It's odd that if Davey had a 'groin' injury people would call it a 'groin' injury, but when Moloney has a groin injury after an equally poor outing he has a groin injury and not a 'groin' injury.

First issue for mine is that Beamer would be one of those being tested by Neeld and Misson. Neeld and Misson know the fitness levels of the mids of 2 of the better teams of recent years in the Saints and the Pies. Beamer was not mentioned in any of the pre season dispatches as being amongst the few running the times Neeld and Misson were used to seeing being posted by Saints and Pies mids. In short does he have the endurance running capabilty required to be a mid in 2012?

The other area of concern would be his clearance rate when Jamar is being beaten in the ruck. Its good that when Jamar is winning the taps Beamer capitalises but its as important that he can win his share or at least stop his opponents taking posssession and clearing when Jamar is being beaten as per Lions.
