Tremendous insight . We're becoming innovative , progressive and quite professional . You wonder how many other Clubs are doing things as well as us .

Can't help but be filled with confidence about the Club right now . I just hope the players can take it all in and improve because if they do the sky's the limit .

We've come a long way in just a few short months .

"handball it backwards to Jones to kick it forward"...

Pardon me whilst I lower my expectations.

Be interesting to see how the other clubs read that article.

That article was an exercise in sensory masturbation for Dees fans who would like to see the players worked hard...

While it was a good insight, and from an interstater's perspective I think the Hearld Sun for writing such a piece, I'm not sure if it shows how innovative we are, or just shows how far behind the field we were. I would imagine a lot of clubs would have a similar training regime, but perhaps we are slightly ahead of what our competitors are doing. Still a long way to go.

the highligh of the article for me - Neil Craig kicking balls at players unexpectedly and just at random when they are trying to get thir breath back. In a sick way, I love that! I know if he directed one at me I'd be pi$$ed right off, and feed off it!

A great read, well done to Sam Edmund for capturing the mood of the training environs, got the blood pumping on the train reading this article. Cant wait for the first intra-club to see all the hard work put into practice!

Other than the exercise in sensory masturbation for some was the important note Neil Craig made regarding the age of "equalisation" among the clubs and finding the competitive advantage.

The attention to detail by those in charge is now more important than ever in the quest for a flag.

For me, that's just as important as is having quality within the midfield. The discussion of rookie prospects and "grunt" wanted by Neeld is a good insight. Even though it was brief.

you are right in speaking of how far behind we were i think that is sadly obvious. Did the MFC have a preseason last year??

What i do like is the club is being fully proactive & the Football Dept. staff know how far behind we are & will do everything to rectify this. Gaining a competitive edge now is all scientific, just like F1 Racing.

For me this was nothing special. It is only doing what every other club does. For those that enjoyed the article I am happy for you. Just another loud pump up the Dee's fans piece. At least we have a great Football department now and things are starting to head in the right direction.

The first step is to gain competitiveness, once we get that sorted then we can look for the edge.

Do it at the same time. Otherwise we will continue to chase our tail.

Nice of you to put all that liked the article into one big category RP ! I didn't view it that way at all .

I simply saw the article as our Team doing a pre-season in a way more professional manner . Most probably miles in front of anything we've done in the past and possibly better than some other Clubs are doing right now .

And on reflection, it appears this 'nothing special' is what our club wasn't doing. At least to the extent that it is now.

True. I still have this part of me that believes Bailey thought that way, about trying to plan for a certain game style (different to the "normal"), so that when we were a realistic chance of winning a flag, that we would have that edge, but just didn't have as much in place as what Neeld does.

Yep , we've got a long way to go and it looks like we've started on our journey . Unless you believe any effort is futile ?

If you can't see any innovation in how we are approaching our pre-season then you need to look up the meaning of innovation billy .

Again , a case of glass half full vs glass half empty .

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
