• Dan Nicholson the most impressive so far according to DM.

• The players are buying in big time; impressed with the work ethic.

• A lot of players are realising their fitness level isn't good enough and are pushing themselves.

• Discusses drafted players and how they come into the training group.

• Mitch Clark may be a week away from the main group, the other rehab guys doing well.

• Kelvin Lawrence and Col Sylvia are still struggling with running.

• LJ came back a bit short, so they put him with the rehab group initially before throwing him off the deep end (so no he's not injured thank goodness).

I believe this guy is the most important and worthwhile investment we have made, possibly ever. The team of Neeld & Misson could be the best move we have ever made. Thanks Gary Lyon.

You have to admire the straight down the line nature of Misson. No magic, clear structured process, easy for footballers to understand.

If he's happy with the progress then I'm happy

Yes and the huge number of games we have won so far proves that......oh hang on....

What do you get from ripping into people like that? Especially when JCB was simply stating his opinion as evidenced by saying 'could be' and 'I believe.' You're so negative for no reason mate

Appears as though he's a 'glass is half empty' type.

I can't believe the sheer number of people who think it's somehow possible at this time of year to let your results do the talking. All we have to go on is what people have said and the few training sessions that have happened so far, and anyone hoping for more than that at this stage needs to go jump in a lake and leave the rest of us alone.

Im not being negative at all, just using sarcasm to put across my point that people are falling into the same trap as always in thinking that change will definitely result in success. Yes things seem to be on the improve but to make statements like Misson and Neeld may be "the best thing to ever happen to the football club" just seems a little excessive, more than just positive, at this stage. Im positive about where the club is heading but ill wait to see some results first before making huge statements and unecessarily building expectation. My comment wasnt a personal dig at JCB at all, more of a dig at the general theme of many posts at the moment.

This is a more measured response than claiming that Misson is th ebest thing that has ever happened to the club after 2 weeks of training. Thats the point im making.

I don't get it with Sylvia.

So he is struggling to run, but was recently available to play in the Irish series.

Would have he been suspended if he was unavailable for the series, but still fled the scene of accident [censored]?

Maybe he hurt himself in the crash? They hit that pole pretty hard.

I tend to agree with what you are saying. Whilst I'm hopeful that the new coaches & FD setup will provide us with the results all supporters crave its a little early to be making such predictions/statements 3 weeks in to the new regime. Football clubs make money off giving fans hope, thats all it is at this time. I'm happy with the appointment of Misson & Craig they have runs on the board from previous positions, the coaching & player development is what I will be looking at 7-9 months from now.

Maybe you should practice this method yourself in future. :)

Hopefully , now Colin's had his one-on-one with the coach , and come face to face with the new regime and new set of expectations , this sort of situation will never happen again , and we will never know if he would have been

suspended .

Hey round of applause for Mr Negativity... Suppose you're more impressed by the proposal of being 'competitive'...?

I just like the way Misson Talks.....No Sh!t straight down the line. Can't imagine any player not lifting their work rate with him around.

No we haven't won any games yet....But we will.

I agree with JCB on this one....Could be the Best appointment the club has made in Decades.

I just watched the I/V again.....no fluff there at all....just facts..."This is how hard it is going to be"

Bottom line is that Mission has identified gaps in the fitness of the players & told as it is!

The club has gone aftenttir the best possible people & resources to be able to compete against the big clubs

Im rapt that we finally have a coach putting the blow torch on players like sylvia & davey that their output is not acceptable. Setting high standards for our younger players like watts & morton etc.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
