Is he worth 2 priorities?

I thought Pick #7 was a tad high for him as I watched him a couple of times and he didn't really impress.

I must admit that in his two games he was nasty, hard at it and has the potential to rattle a few cages.

Ex-Marcellin, ex-Eltham boy I think.

Not worth 2 priorities for mine...

Bate wants out to the Dogs, do the deal for 39.

Compo Pick + Pick 36 + pick 39 + Warnock for Caddy?

It leaves us with one more compo pick, plus with Viney coming in next year, we could use it on another mid or tall in the "super-draft"

We got those priorities as we lost a potential star mid (let's all hope not) so I am open to spending them on a potential star mid.

I don't know Caddy well though...

Anyone?

Mid round compo and Warnock would get it done you'd think..

I can still see Warnock featuring in a deal.. if we don't package him up by Monday he leaves for nothing right?

Yes.

But remember people, the PSD is right there and clubs will use whatever they can to maximise there own trade/draft scenario.

Warnock has a lot less value than many see.

Ok get ready to howl me down but we all agree you have to give to get. We offer 2 Queensland boys in Spencer and Bail and throw in Warnock. That would have to get it done and you keep compo picks for 2012.

If they said we insist on compo pick you do that with Warnock.

PS. I really rate Bail.

Depends on how many teams want him, how badly, and where he wants to go.

We'd get a half-decent trade done if Gold Coast & GWS want him, but he wants to get to the Hawks.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the case.

I'd use one compo pick and change on Caddy.

He brings what I expect Viney will, and you simply can't have too much of that.

Ferocious attack on the hard footy, decent skills, and then tested surprisingly well at draft camp, that raised his standing after he was perceived as a little slow.

I have no doubt he'll make it, and he'd be starting 22 at the Dees in no time.

If Warnock wants to get to the Hawks then it could be done as part of a deal that gets Jordan Lisle to Brisbane. After all, we've been very chummy this week and its time to start scratching backs.

Yep. If we get involved in that and end up with pick 30-50ish, I'd be well happy.

It's the best we'll get IMO.

Is there any way we can send that as a suggestion to TIm Harrington?

Anyone got his email address..?

Twitter?

Maybe if I put an ad on gumtree?

Unless Caddy is a serious chance of becoming a jet in the way that Scully or O'meara are, I'd keep my powder dry with the priority picks for a few reasons. Firstly, they will have great currency next year given the strength of the draft, albeit we have to nominate straight up. Secondly, Pendlebury, Gaff and a host of the GCS kids come out of contract next year. Thirdly, some of the GWS kids may already want out by then. And finally, the draft is set to be strong anyway...

Hard edged HFF who gets his own ball, but perceived as 'slow'. Only school footy, but I think he kicked 16 against Mentone Grammar one arvo. I watched him kick 4 against GCS when he was with the Knights.

Definitely looks bigger now, but I wouldn't be moving heaven and earth to get him.

He's not a number 1 pick, but Caddy is worth at least 1 priority pick.

I'd use our "after 1st round pick", Warnock and maybe pick 39 from trading Bate?

That should get the deal done.

He'll be worth it.

I agree with the above

We need more mids to get to the next level and Caddy would be a great fit at Melbourne.

He could rotate with Sylvia through the mid and HFF. We need to make a play at the right price.

The only other suggestion would be a straight swap for Petterd. Like for like.

Get the deal done

Me too. This kid is definitely worth a comp pick plus something. He is a hell of a tough competitor and would be just what we need.

We are in a strong position to trump the bummers on this one.

I can see the headlines. Demons trump second club to get young future star .

Consider this a howl down. HOWL to you Redleg!

We keep Bail because he is a weapon. I'd rather trade out a compo pick and double combo of Warnock, Spencil, Bate or Maric. Bail stays.

I wouldn't do this b/c bail is the only one who can play his role: fast, tough tagger who can hit the side of a barn; barts is all that w/o being able to hit the barn. I will not forgive bartrum for turning ball over against the saints this year.- he killed us through turnovers and will continue to do so.

I also have no interest in Caddy unless (A) he is a geniune clearance player; (B) he is quick; © he has good skills and d/m ability. If he is not two of these three, then we do not need him. We have 57 HFF's already. I'd trade petterd ahead of bail. And if Caddy Is two of three off my list, then I'd do the deal.
