Hall is one of a number of TSL players being head hunted by VFL club Werribee which has recently appointed former Demon midfield coach as their head coach for 2012 - Werribee hunts TSL top players.

"... Hall was the TSL Tigers leading goal-scorer with 34 and finished second in their best and fairest count."

Locals consider Hall would make a rookie selection in the AFL at best.

Good call - I was taken in big time by the Sibosado and Daw highlight reels.

On the other hand, there was a fair bit of hype around Tom Rockliff after he was passed over in the draft, but that was probably supported by his TAC Cup stats.

That was only because he led the TAC cup in goalkicking, playing at FF for a bloke his size.

He always had a knack for just getting the ball and doing something with it, even if he wasn't the fastest, strongest, most skilled or whatever. Just a footy player.

Casey Sibosado was delisted by the Dockers last week after a three year stint as a rookie. He did play 1 AFL game in round 24 of this year when the club was ravaged by injury and there was nobody left to select.

It was a big miss to not pick up Hall in last years draft.

Both Hall and Omeara were outstanding and shone above GC's other high draft picks.

I remember last year discussing with my family that both priority picks were overs for the number 1 pick in the mini draft. Today I admit I was wrong, the kid will be a star and we should have thrown a player in to get the deal across the line.

Absolutely the stand out rookie player from any of the 3 sides last night. He ultimately got disposseded but that time he grabbed the ball at a ball up running through the pack at full pace had me drooling and wishing we had taken him. we so desperately need a player who can do that

    Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill.     Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
