Don't think Judd will let it happen.

That , is a very valid point..lol

Going to throw one from as far left-field as you can get...Geelong? Only thing is they are a Vic-based team, not Melbourne-based.

Theory;

* Ottens has 1 year left

* Mooney has retired - if Pod or Hawkins goes down, they have West and Vardy (can't see either of them being the best option in September - not for 2 seasons at least).

* Condition would be that he lives in Geelong

* Would be odds-on for the flag if he got his shite together

Source - none. But if it's true - you heard it here first!

Yes, it's at least as good as any other theory - they'd have the "culture".

Would really only be an option for a club that perceives it is in the premiership window next season given Fevola's age.

Interestingly there are a few in that category who might be interested in Fev as a mature age rookie who can play at Full Forward and kick pretty straight. Collingwood, Hawthorn, St Kilda (if they really think they can reload).

Certainly the mature age rookie option is cheap for a club both in terms of drafting and salary.

We can all watch on, as Fev tears down Geelong strong culture in one season.... Finally the end of Geelong.....

Fev, poor old Fev. Mmmmmm.... has everything to play for. He has stated he would like to end his career on a good note. Think it would be worth it to him to do just that, in terms of future media possibilities alone. Now that we cant get Dawes and Clark says he wants to go to Fremantle (for less money) lol, and even Bate wants to go to the dogs. If Melbourne wants a power forward, even as a backup and for nothing, I cant see really what we have to lose? If he mucks up he doesn't play, simple. 1 season will tell. Cant see Neeld taking any crap from him. And if he mucks up its hardly a reflection on the club, just for giving him a go. Imagine if he really did get it together? When hes on song.....

So we're looking for a stop-gap to plug a hole until a more long term prospect is ready.

Fev has transgressed in the past but is adamant about his desire to right those wrongs and atone for his previous misdemeanors (he says)

If his behavior wasn't an issue he would be on a list, probably dominating a forward line currently..

Put him on a strict behavioral based contract with regular toxicity checks, very well defined termination clauses and leave the rest up to the Fev. I would also add into any contract that he is not able to take part in any mad Monday celebrations. I don't care if the players earn the right to have these- Fev has proved time and again he can't be trusted when the players get the opportunity to let the hair down.

We have more to gain from having Fev than we have to lose if we clearly define our expectations of him and fashion a contract to suit that!

Never a truer word spoken SMcFL

.With the pretty ordinary year we have had , what could be "surprising " about an approach from us! Thank God this one's a furphy !

MFC could not be that stupid.

It would be the recruit of the century if we obtained him NOT stupidity as you put in. You are just being narrow minded. He has not misbehaved since joining Casey. Still would be at least a 50 goal kicker and this would basically make us a finals team.

Just imagine a forward team of:

Sylvia Watts Jurrah

Davey Fevola Gawn(interchanging with Jamar)

I say- WOW.

Compare the 7 day a week pressure of AFL 2012 to having a bit of a kick with Casey..

Then come back & talk.

Fevola would be a disaster waiting to explode if he came to the MFC.

What happens if we lose a few & Fev cracks it

Players would not come near this club at Free Agency time.

WAKE UP Please.

The reality is hes been in the spotllight all year , the media and anyone so minded just wating for him fall off the straight and narrow.

Let's not have it on the MCG, or during a week whilst on our list please.....

But on the other hand we are said to be looking for a big body to help Watts and Jurrah for a couple of years till our other young forwards can develop. He wants to play for Rookie wages to prove himself. Oh well this is all good fun discussing him while we have got no other option on the table. Hope we have a good weekend negotiating, if anyone will negotiate with us..

You know Brisbane thought the sam thing when they got him.

Mark Neeld has joined MFC as Coach. Allegedly he puts a high price on discipline, dedication and adherence to team rules.

And there is Fev who little of each capacity....Nice dream JCB nice dream.

BTW, with the FF line you put forward, It would not scare the an Auskick squad. One player gets spooked, one player cant run, wont chase and will get frustrated and the other has played 10 games of football.

There are times i do agree with Rhino....Fevola is definately one of 'em.

Well i sure don't....And if i was a sponsor i would be saying so.....Do you have any idea of the amount of times Carlscum had to cover for Fev over the years???

Things that didn't make it to the media vultures??

If only you knew.....

I think Fevola would do as good a job as Jack Watts has done on our new sponsors adds. Yu never know -the sponsor may offer him a great incentive re cheaper energy for kicking more than 50 goals. Now let's be realistic.

5 clubs have now stated NO to Fevola today- North, Ess, St K, W.B, & Carlton. This leaves- Hawks, (extremely doubtful after getting Gunston)-Collingwood- good security.. Richmond and us.. To whom needs him most- US. I think it is time for you to wake up --'why you little'.

We dont have to trade any players to get him

We get him cheap

He is a big bodied player and will take the best defender week in week out

He wants to go out on a good note and be remember as a footy player (Remember Hall)

Neeld wont take any shyte

Put clauses in his contract to the point that if he farts innappropriately he is gone

People do deserve a chance even if it is their 3rd one.

Olarenshaw was surprised as to who it was...? Given the circumstances, MFC would fit that description very, very well. (Edit: As a smokescreen to detract from Clark)

I was against it a few months ago but I'll admit now to be swaying.

So would the Bombers & Pies & Hawks.
