Came on as substitute in the final quarter of the opening round and starred but had a quiet patch and spent some time in the VFL before returning to play some productive football.

 

Still has plenty of room for improvement.

I hope that Ricky is one of the players who Neeld can get under the skin of. When on fire he is absolutely fantastic. His record tackling game this year was the perfect example of what he is capable of, and his goalkicking and marking against the Filth in the 1 point loss last year was another fantastic effort. Needs to get some consistency in these results, but is an extremely capable player. Look forward to seeing more from him.

Was competing with his locker room neighbour for a spot in the side this year. Started the year behind and finished with a comprehensive victory in that battle - thank God.

Still got lots of room for improvement, but there's a lot to like. The one handed marks annoy me; it's just asking for trouble. Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy with his development trajectory so far.

Going along pretty well, but hopefully MN will emphasize that pretty good is not nearly enough any more.

It will bring out the best in some, and others who are not up to it may wilt and fall by the wayside - hopefully Ricky will be one of the former. (correction - I really hope they all will).

Ricky's best was very good in 2011, but his worst was poor. Unfortunately the poor out-numbered the good. I thought some of his efforts were bordering on lazy this year, and I have little doubt that this is why he earned some 'holidays' at Casey. He has the potential to be a very hard-to-match-up-on, goal-kicking forward, with defensive skills that are well suited to the modern game. Like other posters, I hope the new coaching staff can get the best out of him on a consistent basis, assuming that is, that Ricky wants to get the best out of himself.

Ricky was inspired until his injury last year. In comparison he was poor this year, like our team.
