I'm trying to imagine Maric playing like Stokes or Christensen in the GF - and struggling.

IMO he's still a bit young in his mind.

The last Pre season was a good indicator of him starting to mature, but he still let things slip when it wasn't given to him on a platter.

He could continue to improve slowly or not, It's up to his inner Attitude.

I'm out of patience with these Non Physical type players. We have a budding list and I for one want to move on to fresh faces in the Small Forward/Mid, area.

According to the Hun, North have already interviewed Maric and given him a medical.

Fait accompli, it seems.

Not much of a loss really.

Especially if we land Lisle.

We must be certain of having room on our list though.

Maybe it's due to one of our players-to-be being ineligible for the 2012 season?

Warnock & Bate WILL find new homes.

It just depends on what we get in return.

Maybe it's also why Green has still not re-signed?

But I find it hard to believe his contract negotiations are being held off because we might not have room for him on the list.

Was in Belgrave Safeway again last night, and overheard the same guy telling another checkout chick that the Dees are cert's to get both Goddard and Brad Crouch, in a complex deal involving 5 other clubs including the Bombers who trade Heppel to GWS then get him back again in an on-trade that includes a solid guarantee that Sheedy stays in Sydney.

Noticed he was stocking up on Oreos which are on special.

Belgrave has a Safeway?

yep...its sort of high up from the road.

I digress..lol

According to Twitter, we look to be getting North's second round pick for Maric.

Which is Pick 37

Mark LeCras, Todd Goldstein, Leigh Montagna all handy previous pick 37's....

In very DIFFERENT drafts !!

Given currently: Melbourne: 12, 36, 54, 72, 90 then 37 is a better prospect than those after, but i doubt of the calibre of those you mention.

I cant really see us picking up more than 4 in the draft and some may stay a little longer on our lists as a result.

Very good outcome for the Dees if this comes to fruition. I'd prefer to take a punt on a second rounder, than persist with Addam who's shown very little imo.

Yep. Especially if we have a special in out sites.

couldnt agree more.

Thats a good deal if true. Would not be suprised to hear a swap of picks involved.

Agreed. Surely if we're getting their second rounder it'd be something like Maric + 54 for 37.

Herd on SEN today that the Bulldogs put Cooney up for trade, apparently has really bad knee problems. Is he a risk worth taking? Maybe straight swap Bate for Cooney

Posted

we just lucked out getting rid of someone with dodgy knees !! B)

Apparently a similar issue to Cooney.

Cooney has little to no cartilage left in his knee making it extremely painful to run, Scully has a previous patella injury which may cause him to struggle with large training loads (according to doc Larkin). Whilst they are both knee injuries they are quite different.

Bulldogs put out a statement denying the Cooney trade talk and that he would remain a Bulldog player.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
