It beggars belief that AFL employed people wagger on the footy.

After all the publicity of recent times Why?

I know Gambling can be a serious problem for people but

- Why would do it yourself, He was dobbed in intially by someone who saw him at a TAB

- There are a million things to bet on besides AFL football.

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb

Should have been 14 years but I guess the AFL set a precedent with Heath Shaw and I imagine if it was years as it should be then Wallis could sue the AFL for loss of livelihood or similar.

I think it's pretty weak, considering 3 bets, no even half decent contrived excuse, and one was on his own team!

When you compare it to Heath Shaw, it's miniscule.

As a coach, he can still coach during the week, just not on game day.

A fair inconvenience, but it's not much of a suspension.

How stupid is this guy. Firstly he walks into a TAB probably in his bendigo bombers gear and places the bets on. Dumb to start with. The he bets on his own team. Then he lies to the AFL and says it was for a friend and the bet wasnt on a bombers game. He then keeps on lying to the AFL until they keep questioning him and he buckles and says it wasnt for a friend and I did bet on a bombers game.

Seriously and I thought Heath Shaw was stupid.

Karma for the 2000 grand final. He was an absolute **** the way he went out to put Green out of the game and in to a hospital as soon as he could.

I wish nothing but more embarrasment for the man in the future.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving thug.

Did anyone see the start of ch10 news. Dean said he wasnt aware of the rules about betting. Duh when there are guidelines given to you and to all coaches and support staff and were you living under a rock when Heath Shaw got suspended.

Seriously I know I wrote it earlier but you are dumb

hahaha failed to co-operate with investigation. and then says he doesnt know the rules. hahahaha lowest of the low. akin to a kid lying when they know they have broken the rules.

btw, 14 weeks is a joke. thats the same as shaw and he even bet on essendon. should be out for a year on that scale.

Good one 'Striker'. You are right. i think Wallis told the tribunal he was retiring thus no further action. Then he makes a comeback.Perfect poetic justice here.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
