Long time ago, Garry one of Todd's best mates at the club, Todd decides to up and leave the game to be a tennis coach on the eve of the new season, without a word of warning to Garry (or anyone else at the club).

Ancient history, time has well and truly healed all of those old wounds.

Yeah, it was only a nose slightly put out of joint, but they got over it pretty quickly.

None of the previously posted rubbish that now seems to be deleted.

Todd decides to up and leave the game to be a tennis coach on the eve of the new season

Long before Todd briefly left the MFC to coach the 'poo, he was providing tennis tuition to young Demons supporters with stars in their eyes.

I know this because I was one of them (along with Demonland's Andy)

Todd advertised his services in what was then the club newspaper, and for a cool $80 an hour IIRC, you could have teenis lessons with the gun Melbourne midfielder.

It was a small if extravagant price to pay to hang out with Todd..

I certainly don't remember any of the tennis tips he might have passed on, but I do remember him lecturing us about the dangers of drinking and driving, as it was not long after the death of Darren Millane.

Good contribution. Did you have a hit against Flip (Philloupoussis ?) at all ? Or is that the 'pooh?'

IIRC Viney and Flip hooked up for a period of time.

Try reading the thread. Everything in it seems pretty accurate to me. Is it really a surprise that if Viney walked out Lyon would be [censored] off. Can you imagine Green would be happy if Moloney went and coached Bernard Tomic?

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
