If that happens and the club receives two compensatory draft picks then my guess is that no more than one (if any) would be uses in this year's shallow and compromised draft.

All assistant coaches to go.

This.

plus G.Lyon to stay somewhere in the box. Im suddenly impressed.

My wishlist starts with cleaning out those elements at the club on and off the field who are not prepared to work for its common good.

Replace them with competent professionals including the best coach available. Trade wisely, draft wisely and start 2012 with a fresh approach and a healthy team and let's see what happens from there.

Senior Coach: Ross Lyon

Assistant Coaches: Scott West, Todd Viney + 2 new

Captain: Trengove

Leadership Group: Watts, Grimes, Frawley, Jones, Sylvia

A-grade quality coach with all new assistants

Trengove captain, Watts vice

Trade for a decent key forward who can kick 60+ goals

Delist Bate, Dunn, Newton, Maric and Spencer

Recruit some tough nut mongrel win-at-all-cost types

Consign the front-runner soft tag to the dustbin of history

and bring back the spirit of the Northey era

Serious weight training.

Sick of our team being the smallest on field most weeks.

+1 Especially like to see our team playing like a team ie. accountable to and for each other

+1 But we may need at least another couple of pre-seasons to bulk up where it's really needed.

Recruit Fevola.

can we go back to our recruits retrospectively to fix the list?

This is a very funny thread if you read most of the posts. Shows how little clue some people have. Exception being dee-luded's post number 12.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
