What would you prefer to offer up in return ?

M J + Maric?

Sylvia and our 1st round pick for Gary Rohan.

Do it.

I dont mind this trade although it is in Sydneys favor.

They might come at that with a later pick as a bit of a square up?

Of course I wish S Reid was available - but seriously - he is the future of that whole club with the structure he provides. No chance. I also do not think that Jack or Hannebry are going anywhere......

What about Sylvia & Morton to Sydney for Gary Rohan, Jed Lamb & Lewis Johnston??? They'd be giving up a lot of their young forwards.

I doubt a deal like this could be worked but these are players of theirs I'd like.

I would seriously give up our first round pick for Rory Sloane!!! Kill me... But he will be a star. Tough as nails!

Completely agree. Exactly the type we need.

What about Jamar for Boak.

Why would we be moving Russian on ?

No Deal

No Deal

You need to give up somebody good to get somebody good. Port need a ruckman we need skillfull mids, I think long term Boak would help us more than Jamar.

If I were an opposition player and I saw Cale Morton come to me I'd just be lickiing my lips and laughing out loud. He is the least intimidating figure in the competition. He's not going to hurt you physically or mentally. What does he have going for him? His skills are ordinary, particularly under pressure. I can't see why any club would consider him as a trade option.

Yep, & I think, IF the Russian was interested in a big payday, He would perhaps get more from the GWS, who would pay more, but would give us the picks to use or deal. Either on an U-17 Mini draft,,,,, OR, to deal to Port, (who desperately need to build their List, this draft or 2012), who may want to deal a player who want's to leave.

This is the area I think we have to look at, Re The Russian & Davey. Both currently 28+...

OUR Biggest problem is the OLD guard have that Slow Mo Idea of play, that Ultra Conservative take NO Risks Footy..

HELL, the whole CLUB is stuck in this Conservativeness! It's NOT a 'Take no Prisoners' mentality, It's take NO Chances mentality... This is the Culture of our Club!

# Bruise Free: Is this the Culture of our Club >

Rory Sloane

Patrick Dangerfield

Particularly like these two. Paddy apparently keen to cross the border, but would cost several arms and several legs, I would think. Sloane plays as though he doesn't subscribe to the principle of bruise-free footy, despite his slight frame.

I wonder if Sydney would give up Kennedy for Sylvia and someone else. Kennedy is exactly the sort of player we need right now.

Kennedy is just about the exact type of player that any club needs.

Sylvia isn't.

I think we need leadership and we need it where the action is in the inside midfield. I'd look at Scott Thompson - still only 28 with 3-4 years left.

Not sure if serious......

Sure you're seriously misinformed:

See S.Thompson in the top 10 - currently #7 in possessions, you can try ranking him by other metrics - you'll get a good result:

Given how bad our leadership group is and our need for quality midfielders I think we should make a play for Jimmy Bartel. Geelong have yet to resign him and I think he would be a great fit at the Dees. Now I know it would be highly unlikely to budge him from a stable super team, but I think we should offer him a truck load of cash and he can be captain if he wants.

Not sure they would be interested in anyone on our list. And Bartel would have to want to leave.

And you're not?

Already played for, and left, us.

Born and bred Geelong, like asking Moloney to leave for Carlton

Gary Jnr was also born and bred Geelong. Money talks and I think we should make Bartel an offer he can not refuse.

Born Drouin, no? i understand the arguement but we wont be able to offer 1.5 million reasons, not even half that

Any of the below trades I'd be happy with.

Morton to Port for Pittard.

Morton to Port for Salopek.

Morton & Our 2nd round pick to Port for K. Cornes.

Morton & Our 1st round pick to Port for Butcher.

Sylvia & our 1st round pick to Adelaide for Dangerfield & their 2nd round pick.

Sylvia to Adelaide for Sloane.

Sylvia to Adelaide for Walker & their 1st round pick.

Sylvia & Morton to Sydney for Rohan & Johnston.

Bate to St. Kilda for Cripps.

Warnock & 2nd round pick to Brisbane to for Black who comes to Melbourne as captain!

1) Vomit

2) What's with the love fest for Rohan? Injury plagued and largely unproven

3) Who?

Warnock & 2nd round pick to Hawthorn for Ryan Schoenmakers. The kid played all of his junior footy as a forward and was a bloody good one. Hasn't set the world on fire as a backman, could fix our need for a big FF. Matty I love the bloke but cant cut it in our backline and would walk into the hawks as there second best tall backman.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
