Now Uncle, is it ever likely or in the realms of possibility that you are able to post without a smutty comment or innuendo. Is your private life completely bereft of beauty and sweetness.

You do realise Geoffrey that your acting days have passed you by and everyone has tired of the same lines. Your early work was entertaining and amusing but it has become tedious and frankly embarrassingly. Perhaps it’s age or fatigue with living but you seem so half hearted these days. You don’t know whether to hang up your boots or keep trying to run around the park.

You do sound depressed these days, listless and just hanging on. Or are you now only aching in the places where you used to play?

Well Ernie …………… as they say in the classics.... " beauty is in the eye of the whip holder"

Fortunately Uncle tastes differ so beauty is not in the eye of the whip holder.

Otherwise it would be like standing in human faeces and thinking that it is beautiful.

Enterococcus Faecalis and Bactericides Fragilis say hello, and respectfully beg to differ.

It’s probably about perspective in the end.

Lighten up Ernie!

When it all comes down to it we are kindred spirits. Same boat -  being tossed around on the same meaningless sea of life.

How very philosophical.

From my perspective I attain meaning from the realisation that I am far superior to dreary old [censored] like you and Ernie.

I wouldn't like to marooned on a desert island with any of you. Maybe Ernie, at least he could write...

To diverge.

On a research trip to WA

Beer wine food and tourist infrastructure not Dockers Eagles or Hogans, have just experienced the Albany whaling station. Only recently abandoned and restored as tourist attraction.

The harpoonist is the Skipper and was able to despatch the whale with an accurate delivery under what must have been quite arduous conditions.

Just made me reflect on the same philosophical metaphor.

Difficult to reflect on football draw related issues as the WA media cannot report on any issues outside the overwhelming significance of the Dockers and Eagles.

Fascinating

Didn’t think it was an insult.

Up here in the home of the Gold Coast Suns for a short break. Haven’t seen a single siting of any GC Suns colours, either in the shops, or on any of the holidaymakers. That is a little unusual .

Not at all. Have you seen the state of BBO’s manor or tasted his wife’s cooking?

Just at the moment the GC17 don’t have any players or supporters so that’s not surprising.

I usually go every year to Day 3 of the Boxing Day test with a large bunch of former suburban cricket team mates, and relive our glory days in the Percy Beames bar.

We are thinking of bringing our day forward to day 2 this year  ?

Outrageous! Have you discussed this with the MCC?

I’m hoping the MCC will have a stern word to the test XI first before dealing with the common public

What should the team be called this year?  The Incompatibles perhaps?

Can’t believe I have scheduled Foxtel to install a satellite on draft day, at the very time that the draft is on. Looks like it is DL on the computer, for me at draft time.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
