Well the girls follow the guys and go out in straight sets.

At least we are a consistent club.

Does anyone really care?

Not according to the low number of posts.

They dominate the official  MFC website and it gets confusing at times.  Its all a bit too much IMHO. Too much sport.

I might be in trouble for that comment. lol

Not sure Sir Les noticed, but there is a small spot on his jacket.

“Us and Them” from Dark Side of the Moon. Dick or more formally ‘Richard’ Parry (to pass muster here) blowing up a storm.

Sorry. I wasn’t trying to attribute anything to anyone. It was for context…  adding my view on saxophone songs.

Youtube recommendations clearly caused by following this thread took me to an amateur solo alto saxophone cover of the Pet Shop Boys song 'It's a sin' with no backing sound, performed in a student-looking bedroom.

Absolutely nothing about it worked. A low point in my musical journey and I will hold this against you all for a long time.

Maybe listen to Rindi Ross of Quarterflash, on the song Harden My Heart and your spirits will lift, or The Heat is On by Glen Frey.

Sir Les, the ideal role model for an Aussie traveller.  Cultural sensitivity at its best

In all my time overseas, I never managed to reach the level of Sir Leslie.

i would fall asleep well before. And I have never worn braces.

Sir Les survived due to his diplomatic immunity.

Pfizer should be cloning your biological immunity.

You had to love the way Sir Les spat drink or saliva on all his interviewers.

We won’t see the houses falling at training now, as the Casey sessions will be closed until next year.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
