Milo,  the entrepreneur that you are, I had forgotten about your role in The Wedding. Of course, the old Country and indeed the Royals do not have the budget they once had, which is where you no doubt fit in.  A quick visit to China, a lick of paint, and I'm sure the imitations look like the real thing!

Who is Milo? No matter Ernest I have no time for trivialities, the Queen beckons!

Sorry Earl, I was thinking of another fictional character when I read your post. Apologies to you and Milo.  Just make sure you observe the Royal Protocols, no touching or hugging the Queen, excluding Elton and Meghan (because Americans hug). Just hope the cucumber sandwiches that you are supplying from China are suitable for the Royal tastebuds.

All is well though as I believe the Palace have engaged "Tracy Security " for the event

After 7 years, perhaps its time to close this thread.

Ernest, Ernest! Speak not such calumny, lest thou be cast, body and soul, into the uttermost depths of the circles of the damned, there to rot and wither for eternity, like some latter-day Tantalus! Shall we close this thread, this lifeline of humanity, this beacon of delight, which was born amongst the horrors of the torture and humiliation at the paws of hoopy felines on the ignominious Day of CLXXXVI, and which has sustained, healed and nourished us through the terrible nightmares of the era of est quod est and the desolation of the fearsome omnibus of reality? Shall we now, as the heretofore black sky of night weakens its shade grudgingly before the onset of the radiant dawn, sever this umbilical cord, this unerring guide, which has lead us just as surely as brave Theseus was lead through the abominable labyrinth, through dark corners and shadowy turns to the glorious light above? A day may come when the age of demons comes crashing down, but it is not this day! A day when we cease all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day! A day when the red and blue spirit yields to the infernal magpie, but it is not this day! This day WE POST! By all that you hold dear, I bid you post, Demons of the No T$ No B$ Thread!!

So, .... had any good banana smoothies lately?

Looks like we are back and firing on all cylinders.

Good to see some horse involvement as well.

Well good evening folks.

Your good old Uncle Bitter has been very busy of late and thus neglected my faithful readership.

Questions without notice for picket fence. Did you attend the recent man cave exhibition? If so, was it a life changing experience for you?

To curious matters. Did anyone notice that today's Herald Sin was offering Megan face masks? I thought it a splendid idea and have obtained a number of the said items. I intend having the maid wear them during her ..... err ... extra curricula activities at The Manor.

Oh and a PS to Ernie. For a person in a state of deceasedness  you are becoming painfully sanctimonious. You're dead Ernie - live it up!

Earl probably won't like you referring to the royal family like that, Redleg ?

I shudder to think where you might be placing your free Miss Markle Masks.

I could nearly compose a limerick about such an event.

In fact i will

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
