Outs:

AFL Umpires

Ins:

Anyone

But seriously:

Outs: Bennell - Morton

Ins: Bartram - Tapscott

Bennell - What is your deal? You have pace, skill by foot and poise (when you want) but you constantly give us nothing

Morton - Grow a pair, put on some weight, learn to kick or [censored] off

Outs:

Morton

Bennell

Strauss

Nicholson

Ins:

MacDonald

Tapscott

Dunn

Cook

Where are all the people who want Dunn, Bate, Warnock etc traded.

Good games tomorrow for Casey and they will all be in at Darwin.

Our young guys are still too young at this stage to carry the load.

WE badly needed some older strong bodies tonight.

IN: MacDonald, Tapscott

OUT: Bennell, Morton

If we weren't playing in Darwin Jurrah would be added to that list also.

I agree we need Bate and Tappy back .Bate doesn't get pushed over .Bennell , Morton out . Jurrah SUB (MOJO down)... Garland - under the ball all night .Gysberts still too light .

Scott West -WTF happened in every bounce ? Trengrove good forward but wasted .

OUT- Morton, Bennell, Nicholson,

IN- Tapscott, Macdonald, Bartram

Out Jurrah and Bennel - Find a heart between you! Nicholson.

In Batram, MAcdonald - We really missed these two .Tapscott if fit or maybe Cook.

Why should we keep Jurrah in just because the game is in Darwin? That's rubbish.

I love how people think Dunn, Bate and/or Warnock are solutions. They aren't. They won't fix anything.

Bennell and Morton have to go. We can't carry passengers like them. They don't work hard enough, they don't impact on the game enough, they are soft as butter and I don't like them (that last point is crucial of course).

MacDonald is an automatic inclusion if fit. His pre-injury form was fine.

Tapscott also comes back. By Darwin he should be fit enough.

Maybe Bartram for Strauss too. Strauss hasn't convinced me yet. Not sure.

In: MacDonald, Tapscott

Out: Bennell, Morton

Can't believe people are wanting Nicholson or Strauss out, or those who want Bartram in.

OUT : Bennell, Morton.

IN : Tapscott, MacDonald.

How far away are Bail and Davey?

.

MacDonald's knee injury is more serious than first thought. He will struggle to get up for the Port Adelaide game.

OUT: Morton, Bennell, Jurrah

IN: ( from ) Tapscott, Bartram, Macdonald, Mcdonald, Bate

Tappy I think would play OK in the greasy Darwin conditions. But players need 'great feel' in the hands to play in slippery conditions.

So for that reason, I think we'd be doing Bater, & ourselves a dis-service if we played him in the Darwin heat. Keep him 'til after Darwin.

So for this reason I'd be hanging onto Jurrah,,, maybe Bennell for his last chance/ or as Sub,,, and maybe Dunny & Maric. I'd go small, and quick. I'd keep Martin & Jamar & think about switching Morton for Dunn..

* I wouldn't mind seeing Cook in with his great hands and 'Vision'. I hope their Not waiting til we play the Swans again, 'so we can see him sail into Sydney' !!! B)

Can't believe people are wanting Nicholson or Strauss out, or those who want Bartram in.

How far away are Bail and Davey? Geez, I forgot about these boys.

Summary so far:

Out: Everyone I don't like

In: Everyone I like

Doc Larkins said Jurrah has an achilles/ankle issue which has been causing his form/lack of run lately. Might need some time off. Thankfully we have the bye!

This explains a lot. If Jurrah has a lower leg problem of ANY sort, it's going to seriously impair his effectiveness.

Just don't understand why we need to play injured players. Surely they've learned something from the Davey debacle!

I'd probably go against the popular trend, and keep Bennell for the Darwin game. His ball handling in slippery conditions is second-to-none, and this, combined with his pace, could be real assets. He must know that a spell at Casey is looming, and if he retains his spot for Darwin, he will surely realise that he is very lucky ..... that might just bring the best out of him. Having said that, his form doesn't warrant retention, and that should probably be the ultimate decider.

They're playing him because he's fit. 2 weeks ago he had a 'Light' piece of taping around his calf muscle. NOT achilles strapping! So you would assume he had an slight tightness, in that 'Calf'.

His lack of competitiveness IS Not due to any injury of a limb.

Maric's contract is up at the end of the year. Why not try him in Bennells position down back or forward with a run through the midfield. He has been the best at Casey a number of times this year including yesterday. It's time to give him a few weeks in a row in the AFL to see whether he is worth keeping. Bennell is contracted next year so send him back to Casey to work on his ticker and see if he can involve himself more in the game.

We need 15-20 possession games out of these guys on a regular basis if they are going to have an influence in the outcome of the game. Bennell is only averaging 10 this year which is less that last year and less than his first year.

The bye couldn't come quick enough, ey??

In a fortnight vs Port:

IN: Tapscott, Bartram, MacDonald (if fit)

OUT: Morton, Bennell (both lucky to be in the seniors), Nicholson (rest?)

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
