So ManU win another Cup.

Does anyone else find this just mind boggling boring. To think that the richest football club in the world playing in the most un-even competition in the world have just won another cup. This is not a dig a soccer just that I turned on the TV and here were all these manchester fans (all born in manchester - not) going off their brains with excitement and adoration for something was virtually assured at the start of every premier league season. Fair dinkum I don't know why the even bother with the season. Just have a 4 week round robin with the 4 richest clubs. As for ManU supporters, talk about downhill skiers, they probably support Ferrari and the Filth too. The culture of the (rich) winners.

As a Gunners supporter, i totally agree....YAWN 2010-2011.

I can appreciate skilled players from ManU or any team for that matter for what they are and what they do.

But the fact they play for ManU or that ManU win some more silverware does nothing for me.

If I watch Premier league it is to watch the elite players or to see an underdog team put up a good performance

Like watching a rich person with a Maserati outrace a poor person driving a Proton. Thats not competition.

You make some interesting viewpoints. And yet I follow Manchester United. Maybe because I saw them as a kid more times than any other. I had a soft spot for Leeds Utd when Kewell & Viduka played for them. But for some reason I was just drawn to Manchester United. I've always had an interest in Sir Alex Ferguson for a long long time. I think that more than anything has strengthened my "support" for Man Utd.

All that said, I find myself in a sense of deja vu time and again in the club winning title after title. :P

I just wish it would some how rub off or translate into success for the MFC. :rolleyes:

After being converted very early to the cause by my United mad grandfather I can actually still remember us being relegated. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time. I think those growing up in the Premier league era don't realise our struggles post Busby Babes and pre SAF. Bring on those trophies I say, because who knows when the wheel will turn again?

Aldershot wear red and blue, they just relegated from League Two (essentially League Four)...

Crystal palace wear red and blue, they have just been promoted to the EPL.

I think that with United it is easy to forget just how saddled with debt the club is. A few bad seasons and we are in real trouble... So I will never take our trophies for granted.

the scores and boredom factor would be quite different and the game may then be worth following

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
