I'll be there again Mouse. Will see you, the bride and your brothers there for sure!

haha looking forward to it mate! Got 7 sitting in bay 30. Usual crowd!

Yeh its a bit of a shame the players and staff are not attending the pineapple after for an official post match.

My girlfriend and my other friends really look forward to this part of the game each year as like many of you have said, we dont get another chance to get so close and meet the 'stars'.

Ill accept the 1 year suspension but i will be livid if they repeat the same thing next year!!

Oh and i will add the previous post match celebrations have been the key reason for me to be able to convince my friends to all join up as members! They loved the celebrations and the fact you could say hi to the players etc. Had 2 new ones joined up this year and then this happened. not happy!

Especially seeing the one guest i am bringing paid $42 for his ticket in section 30 and i thought all GA was only $20. Would like someone to explain that if they can???

Glad those that came enjoyed themselves last year - it was a great atmosphere. It is a shame we are being penalised for the actions of a few and I have told the club just that. I know they are concerned for the safety of the players but they have to toughen up a bit too.. if they go out they could just as easily be groped and jostled.. I hope that we can work something out for next year as the Qld and indeed interstate visitors say how much they love coming up and we love hosting them.

I am still waiting on a reply from the club. I sent the email Sunday after our game.

This function is also our primary source of raising funds so no players, no function, no funds.

They have said they will donate some items for a raffle but I dont think a jumper is on the menu due to problems with the colours this year. They said a few things and perhaps a hat. I suggested perhaps a voucher for the Demon shop so that the winner could buy online or at the shop itself. Not sure I will hold my breath for that one tho.

Look foward to seeing you all after the game. Just come upstairs as per the norm however I dont think we will have staff up there. You may have to buy downstairs and bring the drinks up. Depends on how many we look at getting along.

Ciao

good to hear that a few dees supporters are making the trek. I will be heading up with a mate, flying up on the Saturday morning and back on Monday. We are also staying at Bunk in Fortitude Valley so great to hear there will be some other dees supporters there. Looking forward to having a beer with everyone!

Not sure if it was due to the fact that it was their first ever game, but be prepared for pre-match entertainment that would rival ours, actually, would demolish ours in the cheesy stakes.

I was one of not too many on this site, if any, that was at the Gabba at their first game, gee whiz, it was terrible! Apart from the standard club song words being displayed on the screen so people could sing, they had very tacky footage showing for around 30 minutes leading up to the game, and their supporters, well, apart from the fact they had bugger all to cheer about, when that opportunity was there, they were in struggleville!

I actually felt sorry for them, especially in the third quarter when a guy in an Essendon jumper stood up, was tweaking his own nipples with one hand, while waving a wooden spoon around in the other, all while he was walking around their cheer squad! Then the expected crud from typical Carlton supporters.

As a Melbourne supporter, I ask for the advice of my fellow members. Do we continue this theme, or do we use up our energy at hurling abust at how soft Jared Brennan is and that even in a team full of amateurs, he is being made to look second rate. I personally admire those poor GS supporters that continue to turn up at tough times for the Club, but can understand that we went through similar heartache only a couple of years ago.

Thoughts...

absolutely no idea.

i just bought online as it will allow me an extra frothy at the piney first! plus i just feel better about already having my tickets before i go up there. haha im a bad traveller - im the kinda guy who would go, hey have to be at the airport an hour beforehand, so better make it an hour before that just to make sure. actually better make it 2 hours before that, dont want to get stuck in traffic or something.

id hate to be like, aaah the game starts in 10 mins and i dont have a ticket yet. ahhhhhhhhh

Is there anybody not going? There'll be more of us there than them at this rate.

Happy to claim I played reserves in 1998 if it will lead to me being indecently groped at a function.

Scully's leaving

Watts is a softc0ck hack

Bailey has no idea

if we lose this week I am moving to Pitcairn island

^ What he said. Sick of copping it from all angles so far this year. Would be nice to see us win by 100, Watts kick a bag and Scully sign. That should shut everyone up for a week.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
