Beamer in trouble ...

Footy player caught urinating on bar in St Kilda

A caller to Triple M said security removed the midfielder after he relieved himself against a bar at a nightclub between 2.30am and 3.30am.

A spokesman for Melbourne would only say: "We're investigating the matter."

...

Seems pretty out of character... it'll be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Disappointing to say the least.

FFS.FFS. Why are you glad it wasn't Sylvia. I love him and he has been great, but Beamer has been our best player this year and without him, we will probably struggle around the bounces. For some deeluded, naive reason, I really thought our players were above this type of BS. Thanks for bringing me back to earth.

Why are they up at a nightclub at 2.30 anyway? Remember only a while ago Beamer got in trouble after being at a night club after 12AM! Not Good! Hope it's not true!

Sack him for a week. Totally unacceptable. No amount of possessions excuses this behaviour. I'm confident the club will act accordingly.

Hmm I smell a club suspension coming. Let's hope it's not true.

We really need him against the GC as well, he's the one player that would physically intimidate their younger players.

2 week suspension. Poor form.

Your ready to suspend him for 2 weeks because someone rang up a radio station making claims? Quick to judge. Who cares if he was out at 2am celebrating our win. He is the only one who ut in 4 qtrs yesterday! Society is to sanitised nowadays!

Funnily enough, he's scheduled to do a presser this morning. Wonder if the club will have a hasty change of heart on this morning's spokesman?

If proven ... absolutely. What are you kidding? Can I come over to your place and urinate on your kitchen table?

He can urinate wherever he likes if he keeps getting 8 I50s and 7 clearances a game.

;)

Yeah well they probably will have to have a press conference this morning, You'll probably see an announcement soon

But then if he gets 2 weeks, we play Gold Coast (who we'll smash with or without him then a bye, Not a big deal? Personally I don't think he would do it, but you never know

Embarrassed himself badly, however cut the boy some slack, its out of character for this bloke. Tough as they come and gives the club his all. Fine him heavily. Very heavily if you like, but don't penalise the team. The club could do with a few bob after our truly pathetic turnout yesterday.

Seriously pathetic. He is not 18 anymore and it's unacceptable to behave like that, especially when you are a vice captain.

Why was he out so late after a game anyway!

Ugh like we really need that. I suppose that is why he isn't captain.

This is just disgusting urinating against a bar. Im guessing alcohol was involved. What he couldnt make it to the toilet.

He is our vc and why I dont expect him to be an angel I owuld think a 27 28 year old man would have the sense not to do this. He is in a stkilda nightclub with people around. What would make him think he would get away with it.

Very disappointing.

Legend, kills it on the footy field and obviosuly hammers the [censored] too! :P

Obviously its the St Kilda influence. Should be a no go zone for our boys. They should be told to party in Balwyn. No brainer. One week in the sin bin.

Anyone have any idea what time the presser is and how I can hear it in Sydney???

The "out of character" and "don't penalise the team" mentatlity are both poor excuses and I would be disappointed if the club acted in that manner. Sylvia was penalised for a late night not drinking, so Moloney should be suspended if he's guilty. I don't want the culture of our club compromised because Beamer is an important player. As a vice captain he should know better.

You reckon?

Dropkick thing to do but ultimately harmless

Don't drop him, don't lose to Gold Coast, please

Very interested to see what the club says. 'Triple M caller' could be anyone and he's already been hung drawn and quartered.

After the game and conditions i don't know how anybody would be functioning at 3am!

When you gotta go. Not great is it?

Going to be a presser shortly.

I agree. If the facts are brought down and what has been alleged has occurred then I cant see how a senior player, VC and one who is high profile can be given a "there there".

At the moment we have a MMM talkback caller. Lets see what's traspired.

Urinating in a public place/venue is a disgusting and disgraceful act. If proven he should be held accountable for it.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
