I don't think Neita harbours any ambition of coaching at all. He is involved full time at the club as it is. So no!

Has he told you that has he? I think an All Australian CHB - FF, Coleman medalist, most games played, leading goal kicker of the club, games captained, could make a great coach? Just a thought..

I don't think the FD would put all their eggs in the one basket, escpecially when that basket had a 1in 3 chance of becoming the head coach at Geelong.

We'll find someone, & if we don't, I'll make myself available.

Anyone got Schwabby's email address..?

Gee I'd love to see you named as assistant backline coach- I think you would make a better fit as CEO.

I'll still post on here from time to time, just like Cam does. Might need a new pseudonym though.

& it's ok, I've had Schwabby's email for a couple of years now.

He must have seen something, cos he gave it to me.

Choco Williams has now been rejected by Essendon, GC Suns, GWS & Brisbane (& Port of course).

Even if he wants to come to us, I'm not entirely sure he'd be the best choice.

As an aside, I don't think it'd be wise even if we disregard the above.

The fact Bailey was Choc's assistant at Port, I think, would make it uncomfortable with the roles reversed.

That coupled with the fact Williams is obviously a strong personality makes it look a bad idea.

(plus the confusion involved with having 2 x Mark Williams on the coaching staff).

Totally agree with that. A Mark Williams appointment would really worry me for precisely that reason. I remember at the time that Bails was appointed by Melbourne, the press reported that he had received a very strong endorsement from Choco, but IMO the role reversal could undermine what might previously have been an excellent working relationship.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
