Did any other Demonlanders notice one of Collingwood's heroes drop his head and miss an easy mark, expecting a bump(which never came) last night.?

Luckily for him , he got away with it, since Geelong made a(trivial)interchange error, and Thomas got a "gimmee" goal, which distracted attention from his team-mate's gutless effort.

Was right in front of me, a massive shirk and he fained a sore shoulder when he hit the ground despite minimal if any contact. Weak as! Can`t stand him, selfish arrogant hero. Played well though! Spot on that the confusion with the interchange ruling helped him slip under the radar with this gutless effort

Thomas won't be missing the GF, mate. Both went for the pill but the Cats player was down lower and received the head-high free-kick.

Thomas is proving ALL his doubter wrong and has had a phenomenal 2010. Many believed he would be a mere plodder in the Finals series as it was thought that the guy can't step up when it all counts.

- 32 possies (career best!) and a goal in Qtr Final vs Dogs (arguably best on field with Swan).

- 21 possies, 9 marks, 5 tackles, 1 goal in Prelim Final against the greatest team in the modern era in Geelong.

Lots of people are eating humble pie over the man many despise because of his hair and "girly" appearance. But his footy is now doing the talking AND he's a lot tougher and stronger around the ball and willing to do the hard stuff.

I'm very pleased I stuck with him this year in my DreamTeam as he averaged me close to 100 points.

The pick no. 2 is close to most improved player this year.

I may be an avid Dees man and I DESPISE Collingwood... but I'll say things how it is and one Dale "Daisy" Thomas is looking the goods going forward as is, unfortunately, Collingwood.

This has nothing to do with it being Thomas, I know he has been excellent this year. But I'm sure he appreciates your defense, mate. If it was any other player I would say the same, because we have seen much lesser hits suspended this year.

I didn't see the whole game last night, so i can't speak of the incident. However, is does confirm my theory that not every single one of your players has to be Glenn Archer-like, for you to have the best team in the AFL.

I know we would all like them to be, but it is just not reality, and I think we are sometimes too harsh on players that don't show that courage and want them tossed out of the team ASAP(Bennell, Dunn). Who wouldn't have Alan Didak in their starting 22 on any given night? He is a gun, and even if he may put in a weak effort like the one you have mentioned every now and then, doesn't mean he takes his effect on the team into the negative.

1) What's Thomas's record like??

2) Have a look at the Kennedy bump on Sylvia and let me know what the resolution to that one was.

3) The Geelong player (forget who it was) did not get KO'd, no blood and no broken bones, thus lowering the impact.

It was a free-kick and that was all. One must make the distinction between a free-kick and a reportable offense.

Agree, but he'l lalso escape suspension I think.

Jude Bolton (one of the most courageous players I have EVER seen who gets knocked out and around week in and week out) was on Before the Game tonight and said Thomas's incident looked fine as both men went diving for the pill.

It's actually a credit to "Daisy" because a year ago there was no way he would ever put his body on the line like that.

Have to agree with the development of Thomas. Due to previous years every 50/50 ball it was always a monty that he would be pushed out of the way or just not go in hard enough. Proved a lot of doubters wrong this year.

That incident was a clear case of two players going hard and low at the ball. There was no malicious intent and intact I am pretty sure contact was with the shoulder and not the head.
