I'm not your mate and I choose not to like it.

Today was a waste of time for the future of our team when there were two strong bodies kicking 10 between them in the 2nds.

I'm not talking about dropping these blokes, I'm talking about list management and the season doesn't have to run for 22 weeks for some players.

I still don't see your point.

So if you intend to rest half the side next week-send them on holidays, How many supporters are going to rock up to next weeks Game?? We have just managed to get ourselves out of debt & i do not want to start that all again.

We need a big turn out next week to say goodbye to junior, then everyone is able to go on holiday. Next year i hope our season goes for 25 matches, not 22 mate

Being our home game, you'd like to think we could get a turnout of 35-40000 depending on the weather and really, who's gonna show up if we put a B grade team out on the ground so they can get smashed by North.

We need our best side possible out there in order to get over the line and i'm sure the youngsters will be able to suck it up for one more week.

The players are gonna be pretty embarrassed by their efforts today and i'm sure they'll be desparate to make amends in Junior's farewell match- the off season lasts a long time and one more game isn't gonna hurt them- i wish i could get over there for the game!!!

The difference is, everybody knows the direction of the club - the semi transparency of the journey.

Members like you and me wouldn't stop supporting the club if they rested the youngsters and brought in big bodies.

Your analogy is flawed.

Football is a business as well as a sport, and not every supporter would think that way. The ground would be very sparse this week if we picked a B team, not good for the books at ll

Why would i blindly roll up to a game if only half the side was picked? It is actually quite an expensive day to get to the footy and back, so i want to get some value out of it thanks.

i want to se the whole team play their guts out for junior actually.

Yes i know the direction the club is taking, but i do not just want to read about it, i want to see it.

Fair enough - I completely concur that's it's getting damn more expensive, but no more expensive than when we had the worst team in the AFL on the park. But, now you're seeing it, you're feeling it and the best time for us is on the horizon - not one or two weeks.

Anyway, my membership will cost me more next year and the year after that, because there's no way I'm missing out on a GF ticket!

I would imagine you would be one of many in the same boat.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
