- Moloney to get up for this weekend for sure. Was "50/50" two weeks in a row!! Shouldn't spend 3 weeks on the sidelines with a corked thigh...

- Great to see Grimes only 1-2 weeks away! Could play the final 2 games of the year which will both be VERY important games if we beat Richmond.

- Wrap Gys up for the year and get him a full pre-season.

And now for the really bad news on the injury front:-

DEEMAN That is pure gold . Have laughed so much this early in the morning for a long time

Perhaps his particular input wont be required this year hahahahhaahahaa

Can you imagine if McMahon did play? He'd get a standing ovation by the MFC supporters every time he went to the bench.

More than just when he went to the bench, every time he kicked the ball we should applaud him as i'm sure we would get flashbacks of last season and that beautiful goal on the siren to give us picks no.1 and no.2. Stynes should present him with an honourary Melbourne jumper to acknowledge his contribution to our club.

And for those who wish to recall that memorable day.... here's a link to the video:

KOTD!!!

That mark was taken a good 3 seconds after the siren too.

God bless Jordan McMahon

I would love to see the Punt Rd end renamed the "Jordan McMahon end" for Sunday.

A banner the width of the goals (behind the goals) would do it.

And now for the really bad news on the injury front:-

It would be even funnier if Richmond were to be the more successful club of the two by the end of

the decade.

And everyone would be laughing at the smug Melbourne supporters hanging [censored] on a player who won

a game for his team off his own boot after the siren.

I hear you stmj.

Good! (cause initially I was sensing sarcasm!)

I am more than joyous about or abundance of young draftees, but I do think it's pretty ridiculous hanging it all on Jordan.

Footy is about winning games, and those games are pretty rare and special. Quite sad really when you think about it.

Interested in what the list looks like this week!

Last week a few blew out, it will tell us if we will see Grimes again this year.

Only 2 more Casey games left so if he is not back to play with Casey on 22/8

we will not see him again this year which will be disappointing!

I spoke to him on Satuday morning at training, said he was nearly ready to go (a weeks training), hoping to maybe get a game at Casey this coming weekend

He was on the TAC Show on Sunday and Hutchy mentioned that he was out for one more week so hopefully, he'll be down as "test" on tonight's injury list.

Has anyone noticed we have the most injury prone rookies ever.

Newton, Meesan, Hughes, Healy and Spenser have all missed practically the entire season with injury.

If i were in charge, i'd delist the entire rookie list, except Spenser who'd i'd try to keep on the rookie list (might have to re-rookie him?)

(... and obviously ungrade McKenzie).

Opening up spots on the rookie list could see us able to draft a further 4-5 speculative rookies next year. Might unearth another Barlow?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
