Just listening to the Freo game. Barlow has done his knee.

Poor bugger and poor supercoach team. Hopefully it ends up being OK.

They are now saying broken leg. Sad to see!

He hasn't done his knee, I don't think anyway. Though there's a good chance he's injured much of his leg.

Pretty sure it's broken, absolutely horrific to watch.

Poor kid, I wish him a speedy recovery.

No he broke his leg in a terrible collision with a team mate! He tried too stand up and the bottom of his leg gave way very sickening just watched it live

Ya beat me to it!

Word of warning, it was Nathan Brown-esque, but didnt stay out of place..

THEN he tried to stand up on it - and it went sideways again!! That was ugly - but it was like he was in no pain what-so-ever!!

Interesting highlight if you have the stomach for it..

EDIT: yeah, forget supercoach until the finals at least, it was pretty bad..

although it looked a clean break. (just below the kneecap)

Screws up a lot of Supercoaches. Poor guy

Yeah it looked like a terrible brake of the lower leg...awful to see it actually wobble when he tried to stand up

I really feel for him

I absolutely hate seeing this stuff happening to any afl player. This will hurt a career (hoping it doesnt) that was looking quite promising. Just like Nathan Brown when he broke his leg under Wheelan (i think), just not the same after recovery.

I hope he make a quick and proper recovery.

You gotta feel sorry for Barlow. He made the greatest of transitions into the AFL, Freo surprising everyone and continuing their fantastic run (who'd have thought at the start of the year). He was in Brownlow medal form too, seeing there only seems to be Sandilands who would take votes off him for their games.

Absolute tragedy for a bloke who was looking to have really taken to AFL football.

You hate to see anything like this happen to a player.

I wish him the best in his recovery.

Shocking bad luck ,especially when he was showing so much guts going for the ball,no talk by Palmer unfotunately.

Outside of MFC players, this one hurt more than any I've seen. The sound at the ground was incredible. They couldn't have been more up and about the supporters, then there was this huge moan when he tried to put weight on it. Then the rest of the game was just a murmurs in comparison to the 3rd quarter.

Jeez footy's a cruel game.

Horrific, and very unlucky.

You hate to see this as a football fan, regardless of who you follow.

I hope Barlow can heal and regain some of this years sterling form for the dockers next season.

From fairy tale to season over in an instant. I know he's not the first player to get a bad injury, but this one would hurt more than most emotionally. Can't help but feel for the bloke.

A really good bloke too. Spoke to him a couple of times when he was playing in the VFL.

I cant imagine how Palmer would be feeling. A complete lack of talk and awareness from him in that situation. Damn unlucky for Michael.

I'd like to send my best wishes to Michael Barlow & his loved ones after this horror accident.

I wish him well & a full recovery having had a similar break from a motorcycle accident years back.

Know what you mean, when you cleanly break a bone, it's pretty nasty...takes a while to heal too

One of the few times I've actually cared about a player from another team being injured (Tom Longeran and his kidney was another one).

Michael Voss broke his leg early on in his career and we all know how his career ended up so hopefully Barlow comes out of this OK.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
