I hate this old fool more and more every day, can't wait to smash GWS in a few years time.

Talks up a Richmond Melbourne merger in 2-5 years. Why Kevin, because we both rejected you?

The only concrete evidence he gives of a failure in recruiting is taking Watts over Nicnat and a vague reference to drafting too many mids. I can't find one other reason, in this peice of absolute drivel, for us to merge.

I commented this onto the hun's site.

I think old Kev's a bit upset he was overlooked for the coaching jobs at both clubs. A bit bitter perhaps?

Speaking of great draft picks Kev, how about your good mate Gumbleton? or Kepler Bradley? The dee's are on the right track you old has-been. Look forward to flogging West Sydney in a few years....

He's a blathering idiot. Sheedy himself points out, undermining his own argument, that Melbourne as a club is following the same route as Hawthorn. Er, Hawthorn won a premiership. Someone should pull out the hook and drag the senile old fart off the stage.

Talk about a space-filler of a column.

I must admit that when Sheedy's name first came up as a candidate for the Demons' coaching job I was interested because I believed our list was better than it turned out to be and I thought we needed a showman/spruiker out there to whip up interest in the club to get it back on track. Of course, I couldn't have been more mistaken and Sheedy's misguided ramblings in this article are all the proof that's needed to demonstrate that his appointment as coach of this club would have been an unmitigated disaster.

The more I read this the more it pisses me off. Have a read this article. The old fart is drumming up the idea of a 2009 Richmond premiership just over a year ago. How wrong he was then.....

Just because he is with GWS now he is stirring up a bit of trouble. Any respect I had for him has now gone.

Screw you Kevin Sheedy!

And I thought we needed a coach.

"Neither of them have excited fans and neither has a player who we widely tout as the next Ablett, Hird or Carey."

How many clubs have the players to potentially be one of the above?

"I spoke to Melbourne about coaching when I finished up at Essendon because I thought it was an opportunity to really grasp."

Holding a grudge?

This bloke holds a grudge like Khomeini ...

Now come on old Sheeds. Go up north and see a stack of indigenous kids in Melbourne Jumpers. Why is that? Not Ablett, not Hird, not Carey, but a bloke named Liam Jurrah who is so unique he completely stands on his own. Excitement you want? Jurrah has other fans talking about him, so it is fair to say it is not just the MFC that is excited. He might not reach the heights of the aforementioned players, but if it is exciting you want, Jurrah stands atop the AFL for exiting!

Saddens me to read this. Sheedy was a Guy I always had respect for. This sort of journalism makes me wonder if he needs to be carted off to a home to enjoy re-runs of "Murder she wrote" and "The Bill"

Old, irrelevant and desperate for attention.

During his last couple of years at Essendon his players often took to the ground not knowing what the game plan was, the guy is past his 'used by date'.

Loved it how he says "The word premiership cannot even be mentioned. They are kidding themselves if they are even thinking about it."

What a senile old man. Does he honestly believe teams should not be thinking about premierships because they are on the bottom? What a delusional fool. Every move a club makes is to build towards a premiership. I will enjoy watching him fail at GWS.

I watched Essendon play the other night. Lets talk about the state he left them in. I know which list I would rather have.

Richmond's, right? ^_^

Posted

As long as Dean, Jimmy and Cam Schwab read it, good to file that away for future use.

Sheeds is [censored] off he did not get the MFC job i am positive. Dean Bailey put in a much better presentation so suck it in Kevin.

GWS will fail for decades, and cost us Bucket loads.

Two words sum up his last few years as a coach, Kepler Bradley.

Imagine him at our club with a hand in recruitment.

Sheedy was brilliant for the Bombers but has passed his used by date. He has taken on the GWS gig knowing in full reality its a foolish endeavour but he also knows no other job will ever be offered to him.

Look fwd to Footy Classified tomorrow night. I know Lyon does not think much of Sheedy at all and they have had a long history of jibes at each other, i expect G to return serve tomorrow night, actually i almost guarantee it!

Terrible, terrible article.

Richmond bias clearly evident. After today it's damn clear we can't be bundled with that rabble.

He has no idea about modern footy. GWS is going to suffer with him at the helm.

kev reminds me of Ross Oakley, just a disgusting putrid headline grabber.

Seeing Jim Stynes walk the Turf today. Our club will be in a strong position within 2-3 years

Look out Football world. Enjoy Western Sydney Sheeds.

So I was talking to my 12 yo son about the articles and he reckons...

"How can you compare Richmond and Melbourne when we have players like Davey and Green, and Wonaeamirri and a list that is clearly developing. Surely North would be a better team to group with Richmond."

Now I know my son has still got a fair bit to learn, but I am guessing he is closer to the mark than the senile old fool who wrote this article.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
