You have to remember that our main sessions are done at Casey, our preseason was done at Casey and Casey has a MCG size oval with Goal Posts. This week park in the tennis centre walk across Swan Street and have a look at our new oval, as of mid year we will have fantasic facilities.

well since people take what they see on footy classified and make a thread out of it, i'll just take what I saw on footy classified, Lyon's comments, and respond: you are not telling the club anything they don't already know when you say it is a disgrace etc they are working on the problem. End of story.

This thread was started last Friday - not after Footy Classified. Have some respect please.

As for the ground being roped off in the centre during training. Yes of course it was - why should we train at a ground where you can use the corridor?

None of this is anything new guys. This is why we're moving to AAMI Park. It's been recognised by the club for some time now as a huge handicap. It's not a failing of anybody currently associated with the club, judge their performance on providing the FD with quality facilities around July this year once we're in at AAMI Park.

Yeah. If anything, Footy Classified ripped off the OP, the esteemed Mr. frank Rugolo - whoever that is.

Training is about improving skills and there are a range of drills that can be done without having to have pot shots at the sticks.

Totally correct -the Junction oval would only be used to refine skills and furthermore, do drills pertaining to match day.Kicking for goals would be done at Casey at main practice session.

does that mean the tigers will have the worst facilities in the AFL now?

I thought the move to AAMI Park was mostly about the gym and medical facilities (eg recovery post game) while training will be done elsewhere, as AAMI is a small square field with rugby or soccer goal posts.

Am I wrong?

We will train 50m away outside on Gosch's Paddock.

So practically outside at AAMI Park.

Drove down Swan street yesterday, oval is almost ready to go all the fencing has been pulled down, the post have been up but were down for some reason. It is going to be strange when we cant blame our facilities anymore.

Just to let you all know the posts are up at the Junction so expect us to kick 23 goals 6 behinds on the week end

Wicked so we're starting all square at the 1st bounce this week then???

How the HELL is Slyvia still a week away??

Easy there Rusty. Check the date of the post. Was before our match day. One week away means this weekend.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
